The Best Move for Every Character or Best attacks in Smash Ultimate Part 3 which is the topic that I am going over today for every single Fighter up to date except The Hero from Dragon Quest and Banjo Kazooie for #SuperSmashBros.Ultimate for Nintendo Switch.
This video will tell you the strongest and best moves for each character and why they are busted op broken or whatever else you wanna say. This isnt a Top 5 Smash Ultimate video, but kinda like it :P
Now I need to say that we keep hearing #SmashUltimate changes and new things in the game but honestly we just need to wait and see with these different changes.

As someone who mains Corrin, her best move is probably up air. It has ok kill power and a lot of moves combo into it, but the best part is the range and juggle potential it gives her. A lot of her moves send up making her a great juggle character, and a move that covers almost 180 degrees above you really helps her do this.

I dunno, Revenge is really inconsistent I find. As an Incin main, I never get much reward off it. Plus it's a counter and if your opponent is expecting it (which is almost always) It just doesn't work as well.

Fun fact: Joker's gun actually isn't counted as a projectile in Smash Ultimate. You can tell this by reflectors not reflecting it back at him when he uses the move.

Down Tilt is insane too. It’s fast, it’s a combo starter, it hits all ledge hangs and 2 frames a lot of recoveries, and it’s got relatively low endlag, making for a lot of ledge pressure.

Yeah Shoryu kills stupid early and works with dair and upair, but heavy jab is a free 18 percent. Just put it in between light up/dtilt or some aerials at low percentages and the finishing special. Use that three times a stock and that's an extra 54 percent, even using it twice a stock for 36 percent is absurd As a Ken main, I'd say heavy jab vs heavy shoryu is a pretty reasonable debate to have.

Just because the move is your best kill love doesn’t mean it’s your best move. My play greninja and without a doubt upsmash is his best kill move. You spend all game look for upsmash opportunity’s on gren, but dtilt is still his best move. You need to keep in mind things like neutral, disadvantage, and advantage. If you’re just using shoryu in neutral you will lose to good players because the move isn’t great in neutral. This is why he picked jab. Because jab can combo into anything in ryu/kens kit. That includes shoryu.

I think Bayo’s best move is her side b, especially her aerial side b (abk), you can combo with it, get out of disadvantage, recover and punish jumps Witch time is really situational and a free punish if you missed a read

Yeah, I agree. Witch Time is WAY to much of a commitment option. Back in Smash 4 you could just throw out the move if you were scared since you only had 5 frames to punish her, the move came out super fast, and gave Bayo a free stock if she knew what she was doing. Now, if you use Witch Time, you have to really commit to it and hope that it works the way you want it to, or else you're going to fall into 60-70 frames of endlag and get punished for it. Instant Shorthop ABK is much better, as it is a good approach option (her only viable approach option, in my opinion), and, when connected, can lead to decent combos. That is, if your opponent doesn't SDI. If they do, then you're going to get punished for doing what the game wants you to do, which is actually idiotic. I love Bayonetta to death, and I'm going to keep maining her throughout the nerfs and the buffs, but I'm not going to say that I don't get irritated when I f-throw Toon Link at 226% and he doesn't die.

I really think F-air and b-air are Richter's greatest moves. I mean you can space with it, it kills, it gives you good positioning to use your b moves, it's a better recovery than up-b, you can end combos with it. I feel like people give way to much credit to their projectiles, because you can take of the projectiles and yo still could be good with the belmonts but if you take of the whip they would struggle a bit more (whip is a really fast option to use) I'm not saying that Holy water, Axe and Cross are bad, I'm trying to say that there are an extension of his whip they help him get the kills with the whip (it's kinda hard to kill with the Axe)

Wolf's worst move is either his down-tilt or his jab since neither of the two are anything great, Ness' worst move is probably either f-tilt, f-smash, or PK Flash (they're all still somewhat solid though), and Little Mac's worst move is probably his neutral air since it doesn’t accomplish much of anything at all due to it's absolutely abysmal range and duration. I know Straight Lunge is a close contender, but it's at least a good move as a shield-break punish. EDIT: Wolf's jab is probably worse since his d-tilt is a good, safe poking tool that can also setup well, while his jab doesn’t really doesn’t do all too much.

To be honest, Isabelle's best move is either neutral air or back air. Believe it or not, EVERY character can deal with lloid, simply by attacking it in the ground. And rod is just...kinda bad in most situations. Nair is her fastest oos option, while bair is a great spacing tool which can kill. (Yes, it's actually better than fair.) Up tilt is also great as an anti-air.

As an Isabelle player, I do somewhat agree that her down B is her best move, but it does depend on the match-up. From my experience, it's impossible to set up her down B against a fast and aggressive character (Like Sonic and Fox) But in my opinion, I feel that her best move is her Neutral Air, it's been getting buffs these past few patches and it's relatively safe depending on the situation. Although the Fishing Rod is her best edge guard move, it's easily punishable since it kinda has a slow start up, but I'm glad they buffed it to where you can still grab the opponent when it retracts.

For gren I would say dash attack is better than down tilt. Not as good as kill confirm but is way better in neutral, so good at punishing. Also, a little easier to combo out of at lower percents

I'd argue for Bayonetta that Witch Twist is her best move. Amazing escape from shield, leads to combos at nearly any %, can be mixed up in so many ways for recovery, and it's generally a lot less situational than Witch Time, especially because Witch Time stales even when whiffed. Witch Time sets up into kills and combos, but it's not a free escape from disadvantage anymore.

As a Robin main his best move is the levin sword in general, all of them are stupid. Fair Bair combo and kill, Up air kills, Dair spikes and gimps, all his smashes kill and cover a stupid range. as a Mii Brawler player, I feel people underestimate the amount of area control that Shotput gives. all my Brawler builds use Shotput and Suplex, and everything else doesn't matter as much, just matchup dependent stuff, But Shotput is real scary when used properly.

One of my friends is a dedicated Isabelle main and let me tell you, down B is no where near being her best move. In fact it is her F-air, the little slingshot, this move is integral for her neutral and basically her best way to zone/space/position/condition people the way she wants to, otherwise her rod and down B don't actually mean anything. Oh also you can chain F-air to carry people all the way off the stage (true combo btw) and it works particularly well against big characters. Oh and it kills at high percents if you hit the sweet spot. Oh also sour spot at higher percents leads to a very shallow tech that is kinda difficult to react to sometimes, similarly it also leads to stage spikes that are pretty hard to react to because of how quickly the move comes out.

Bayo's best move is either bair or dtilt. Witch time is great and all, but it only works at high percent to actually get any stock off of it. Dtilt leads into almost every combo move, outside of uptilt, but it leads into: Fair Abk Witch twist Nair Rar up air Back air is a good kill move and safe on sheild if spaced correctly, and is a good kill move. Its essentially the only untouched move from 4, with just a few frames added onto its end lag, which may be like 1 or 2 frames. It is very spammable still. Saying witch time is Bayo's best move, is kinda incorrect. Its bad in disadvantage because it comes out frame 7, and doesn't give you much advantage outside of a hit or two, and with the change to how far opponents can be sent in slowed down time, makes its combo potential alot harder than it seems.

I was expecting you to say that ptooie is her best moove. And as a Plant main, i'll say that Usmash is much more stronger. A good accuracy that can give you a kill confirm from 60% to 90% on heavy characters, like wolf Usmah it take you from the ground and send you to Space. Aldo that she has an amazing priority, like against every down air, most of Nair... Its broken. Ptooie is...very laggy. 2s if miss your target, that's not lag, it's enough to make cofee then punish. Range is limited and axis are predictables. 20% is nice,very nice but a reverse from Ness is a free 40%. Which is huge. Not even talking about Joker and Incineroar who can free stack. Ok as a plant main I have to disagree, pootie has to be plant’s best move, well for starters it does a ton of damage, pootie can also combo to forward air or up air. Which up air can lead to a juggle situation. Which plant excels at. Pootie can also be used as a better up air, it has HUGE priority, beating out almost all moves except for a hand full of exceptions. I’ve used it many times to beat out characters down airs and kill them at the top, it is also plants best edge guard move, nothing else in the game is as strong and effective in edge guarding as pootie it’s actually likely it is one of the best edge guarding tools in ultimate. It’s range isn’t bad for a projectile like it, it can cover area really well and can catch landing. And if you drop it the hitbox stays active, This can actually apply pressure for opponents right in front of you. And when you do drop it you suffer very little lag. So you can continue the pressure with jab or forward tilt. Up smash is probably plants best smash attack I will admit. But it’s lack of versatility pales in comparison to pootie. It’s just too niche. Although throwing pootie can give you a lot of lag, but at top level most plant mains are very careful with it. Also did I mention it can ledge trap? So yeah, I think pootie is plant’s best move

“Like Wolf’s up smash it takes you from the ground” Dude. Have you even SEEN the initial hitbox of up smash? It’s pitiful for pulling people into the move, and more often than not, if you’re right next to Plant it still won’t do a single thing to you. Ptooie is INCREDIBLY versatile, comboing out of falling up air, being Plant’s only real neutral tool, comboing INTO things like fair at low percents, and being way good for offstage snipes and ledge traps.

Idk much about joker but I think his best move is rebels guard in both forms. Just using it successfully gets you Arsene in 2 seconds and in Arsene, it's a reflector and counter.

BOWSER JR side B is the best move imo. Side b for engaging, for killing, combos. Side b is great for recovering you can use it multiple times and you get an aditional jump with the move. At low percent it combos into itself at high percent it can kill. Side B speed is as fast as sonic. On maps like battlefield your car jumps from 1 platform to the other using the car. You have to move with side b to do something with bowser jr. Also great for tech chases. Here a morton main :) up air is great but by far not the best move here the order. Down B < neutral B < Down air < ftilt < up tilt < jab < up B < downtilt (I am in love with this move but should be worst than jab) < up air < back air < neutral air < fair < side B

I also think side B 1 is good because you can combo into charge shot. Overall, all 3 are really close together as her best move

As someone who main Incinoroar, I'm surprised you didn't put neutral b for Incineroar as best move. Its fast, kill at decent percent(I believe 120% center of FD and 80% at ledge, on average), invincible during the 1st hitbox(only arms after that), can edge guard and very commonly used to get out of pressure mixing up from his nair OoS. As for the command grab vs normal grab, unless he's a kill percent or you've got some revenge stacked, combos out of his Dthrow would be more optimal(up to 50 ish% in avg). I would probably rank his down tilt better than his side-b due to easy 2-frame, set knock back = easy combo and send slightly inward if tipped.

In my opinion K. Rool's nair is better than his dsmash. Nair has super armor, so it can be used to land through juggling tools such as Cloud's uair, but it's main purpose is edgeguarding. If K. Rool nairs a character like Roy through their upb, they just die if they've used their double jump. The belly armor just eats right through all the hitboxes and kills them at pretty much any percent.

Belmont's best move is bair/fair. One of the best spacing tools in the game. It's a decent move to go off stage with, and it can be angled, so it can hit smaller characters on the ground, or call out ledge jumps.

Mii Gunner’s second neutral B Laser Blaze I think is easily her worst move. It’s just laggier Falco laser and it really doesn’t work for Gunner and her sluggishness. And while down air is arguably worse, with it’s slow startup and teeny spike hitbox, picking Laser Blaze means you won’t get to use Charge Shot or Grenade Launch, which are both amazing moves and so much better than LB.

I know the vid is kinda outdated, but still I REALLY want to disagree with K Rool. In my opinion his down smash may even be one of his WORST moves, if playing against competent opponnents. It is a great scrub killer and can catch people offguard but is just slow. In my opinion his best move is either nair cause it's safe, can combo and lasts long, his crown, cause it can combo, has great setups and armor, or, my personal favourite, his neutral b. His neutral B is incredibly versatile. Slow projectiles are always great for setups, suck can kill early, cheese people if used unepectedly, is one of the dumbest ledgetrapping options in the game if there's platforms, you can combo into the reshot cannonball for very early kills, you can techchase well with the move... it's just so fun!

I don’t agree on bayo witch time. I personally think it’s one of, if not the worst move in her kit. It’s much worse in this game, where sometimes it slows down your opponent for a solid 2 seconds, but most of the time it slows down for like 0.5 seconds, so that’s pretty bad. I think afterburner kick is much better, it’s the main thing in her kit, together with witch twist. Those two are used constatly, and they combo into each other, nair, up air and fair. They are both much better moves than witch time and you will see them all the time in casual and pro play.

Bowser Jr.'s fsmash is really good at the ledge. The fact that it can be angled gives it more utility. Also not bad on shield either.

I never use d smash with k rool because you have to be under k rool to hit the sweet spot. Crown has way more utility and provides consistent pressure

Imo Jr's best move is Up-B. It's a great kill combo when paired with UpbAir upbAir itself is really good, it can edgeguard, and, get this, you can recover with it. Mechakoopa is a close second.

Nice video JoeK, very well made and explained as always. If you're looking opinions on Doc's worst move and are allowing throws, then that title will go to F-Throw. Simply put, it doesn't have any strong usability for the doctor, it sends too far to combo and it's too weak to kill even at super high percents. All of Doc's other moves are very solid, usually ranging from just good to amazing as they're pros often outweigh their cons. F-Throw as is works alright on it's own, but doesn't really do much for a slow character like Doc. If you don't allow separate throws, I guess I'd go with Up-B. While it's a super fast OoS option and combo breaker that kills, it doesn't go that far making it very bleh as a recovery tool. Plus it's actually unsafe on hit at low percent's and sour/late hit does basically nothing...

Correction: Joker’s Gun is not actually a projectile because it cannot be reflected, therefore making it an extremely long range disjoint that can give the opponent Melee flashbacks by using gundashing. It’s broken

Witch time is definitely not Bayo's best move. It's the worst counter in the game with the severe startup and then severe endlag with little to no payoff when it actually does land thanks to its duration nerfs in conjunction with the aforementioned endlag. Her best move is either ABK (aerial side B) or dtilt (fastest ground option that can lead to combos)

Joker's best move could also very easily be aiha/aigaon(is that how you spell it?). Especially aigaon because it's basically pk fire but stronger, with a poison effect, and sends them straight up and, on a character like Joker, is pretty insane

Overall a good analysis, but there are 2 points I disagree with. For K. Rool I think his down smash actually has very limited usage, if your opponent is smart about things then you won't be able to pull it off often. Personally I'd say his best move is the blunderbuss, even though it got nerfed it still is really good to just throw out and work around, you can even integrate it into combos, and overall its a good, powerful move. The other fighter I disagree with is Joker, as I find his gun leaves you incredibly open if missed, it doesn't do much damage or knockback, and its pretty awkward to use imo. I'd say Jokers side-b is much better, as his entire early-game pretty much revolves around it and down-b. When you don't have Arsene, you tend to shoot out tons of side-bs from a distance to rack up damage, use down-b to soak up attacks, and then once Arsene arrives you can throw out a single smash attack or back air and land the kill. At least that's how I play joker, it might not be the most optimal but I find it works, and it all depends on side-b.

I lol'd too. Proximity Hard Jab is amazing, but their entire kits don't revolve around it. All those frantic combos Ryu and Ken have are almost always trying to fish for Shoryuken, especially with Ken. Crescent Kick / Light Dtilt / Uair / Pjab / Dair / etc, all of it serves to supplement the need to get out Shoryuken for the kill.

Some moves I think should be on the list instead: Mario uair kills at like 40% Kirby neutral b literally lets you steal someone’s move Pikachu bair combos into everything, frame 4 and pancakes and kills you at 0% Jigglypuff side b combos into everything and can break shields Peach neutral b every insane combo starts with a turnip toss into down tilt into turnip toss regrab with an aerial, you get the idea Bowser fair giant dumb arch which kills on stage, off stage and also mildly combos Sheik fair is bowser fair but weaker and smaller but combos into everything Dr Mario down throw tons of combos and kill confirms, more than down tilt and you can’t shield it Marth and Lucina bair better at killing than fair and better at edgeguarding Chroy fair safer than jab and you can use it in the air ZSS down b like what did you expect Squirtle fair has tons of combos and is a good poking tool Ivysaur nair combos into lots of stuff, can end combos and even kill confirms Charizard back throw combos into bair for a potential kill at 0% Lucas side b gets spammed in neutral all the time Olimar side b allows him to be annoying af Lucario neutral b plays neutral for him with b reverse Wolf fair is sheik fair but does more damage Villager slingshot super long range and edge guards hella easily Megaman lemons neutral defining move Little Mac down tilt is frame 3 and combos into tons of things and has kill confirms Greninja dash attack is his down tilt but crosses up and generally more used Bowser jr side b is sonic side b but a tad bit worse Cloud bair gets spammed by cloud mains a lot due to safety, combos at low percents and kills you and large disjoint K rool nair has armour, has combos, can help in disadvantage and edgeguarding Incineroar down b without it incineroar would be a lot worse than Ganon as he wouldn’t have any way to counter projectiles. Also it buffs every move by a ton Mii sword fighter chakram is tornado but travels faster and has more utility
