As a little kid,my parents woke me one night to see Sputnik passing over as a flashing light ,then decades later I was working in outback Australia and saw Haley's comet. The makers of this movie got it right as the comet looks just Haley's with the tail .

Despite the Russian/English, it worked really well. CGI was quite good, almost excellent. Story line was great as well. All in all, a really good sci-fi movie! Very enjoyable. 4 stars from me!

Absolutely agree 100%. I am sure glad I waited more than the first 10-15 minutes. In my humble opinion, the CGI was A+ for most of the DVD. The Russian graphics blending in with the spoken dubbed English as well as the closed captions in both Euro-Spanish and Central-American Spanish (primarily Mexican) was respectfully done really well. The fact that the creator along with the writers and all the rest of the staff kept the underlining themes of MERCY and FORGIVENESS on the edge of my seat will garnish this DVD a place on my mental checklist to rewatch this film again in the not too distant future. A 'MUST SEE' for so many groups I can think of in my busy, hectic, crazy life as a nurse...

A very impressive movie and I am glad the reviews picked mostly gave it full credit in spite of the prevalent Russiaphobia so endemic to the West. I have yet to see a poorly done sci fi effort from Russia and although some claim an "Emmerich" style of direction it should be stated that disaster movies have to follow a pattern. This one does but still manages to avoid the sappy element. Well done!!!!

This is a good action movie. It has a Russian flavor you cannot overlook. I like that the older girl does everything to save her step-brother, and her dad on a wrecked space station only thinks about how he can help the children, rather than how to save his life. I found that inspiring. Not sure why this girl has to have "special powers", the movie could do without.

Not so much better, the technique is the same, just a more on the ground perspective, but definitely good directing and story. San Andreas, Deep Impact, and Sum of All Fears had similar effects but underplayed some of the most spectacular ones.

Wow 👌 I just finished this Movie why was this not in Theaters in North America they will absulootly love the Movie.
