Thanks for this plan! How did you secure the bench to the wall? Also- is the hutch part only anchored to the wall? Or did you attach to the bench part somehow?
@dufuss51582 жыл бұрын
How did your pocket holes on the 1x3’s not interfere with each other when putting in the 1 and 1/4 inch screws? I used 1x3’s and my screws definitely ran into each other and prevented them from fully securing to the plywood. First project I’ve attempted and I actually put it together pretty quick thanks to you! Next time I would definitely offset the pocket holes a little bit cause that’s the part that really slowed me down
@AnaWhiteDIY2 жыл бұрын
Yes, pocket holes will need to be offset, I'm sorry if that wasn't clear! We'd love to see your completed project:)
@dufuss51582 жыл бұрын
@@AnaWhiteDIY Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I remember hearing you say that in the "hutch" video...just not while I was in the middle of drilling pocket holes :D. It's also painfully obvious that is what is needed but, I will never repeat that mistake again! Thank you again for the awesome tutorials. I'll have to send in a pic when it is all done.

On Shelf Help, it talks about using the tools to help with design, and provide measurements. Can the base be designed on Shelf Help, and the the panels be ordered through Shelf Help? It doesn’t come with toe kick cuts, does it? And will the cross pieces come with it?
@AnaWhiteDIY4 жыл бұрын
Shelf help cuts the 3/4" purebond plywood to your desired measurements with the front edge banded. The "bay supports" and or toe kicks are not included, just the plywood panels.

@@AnaWhiteDIY Thank you. My son who is a beginner at this, has been tasked by his wife to basically build your last project you built in your garage, for their laundry room. Hi! I think I am going to attempt to make this. And have zero experience with this stuff. Haha. I am trying to figure out what type of plywood you would use for the bench legs. I seen that you use purebond plywood brand, but what type of wood. Would poplar wood work?

Fun! It's Purebond Maple 3/4" Ply. Check out the Shelf Help website shelfhelpnow.com/
