I just built one of mysticats multi item sorters. I was so proud but it didn't end up working cause I'm on bedrock... I will now build this one. You make this look so easy to follow. It's brilliant. Very nice, I built one 'silo' of this, and it works OK. However, I do find if I put a lot of one item in (eg, stacks of rotten flesh), it doesnt have time to filter into the right chest, and ends up in overflow. May I suggest using a similar sticky piston method to move the overflow hopper out of the way, connected to a lever somewhere near the on/off lever. Flick the lever to move the output hopper, so that all items just keep going around the piston tape until they get filtered into the chests. Flick the lever again to move the output hopper back into place, and overflow works again.

This is ingenious. They way you used moveable tile entites, the one and only plus to bedrock, and combined it with a piston feedtape is amazing. Though the piston movement may cause lag on a big server, I dont play those much. Nice Work!

After playing Minecraft for almost a decade now: these are the quickest to set up and broadest categories you can implement for organizing at the very beginning of the game IMHO (of course this is just what i find to be the easiest, the lines here represent the sign labels and designations for each category: |Common Blocks| |Rare, Valuable & Glass| |Wood, Wood Items, & Vegetation| [Equipment| |Food| |Miscellaneous & Mob Drops| Now I will try to fit this system into an auto sorter, this will be the first auto sorter design I try but out of all of the ones I've seen its the most compact

Surprisingly this is one of the simplest of the lot 😂

in simple terms, the item is put into a hopper and moved around to all of the chests until it can stack with other items in one. Java edition multi-item sorters are much more complicated because you can't move hoppers and just push around the item like you can in bedrock. You would have to make perfectly timed dropper elevators and whatnot.

I builtone that can sort several items per chest and is fairly easy to make not this gold only box but how about all wood one box all ore one box gems so forth limitless potential even does single items

3 questions: 1. What are you saying at 1:44? 2. Why is only every other rotating block a hopper? Could all of them be? 3. Why do you need obsidian at the top, but not at the bottom? If I have a room under the sorter, will it punch a hole in my ceiling?

love this machine. extremely loud EXTREMELY slow. not great for bulk storage but its a super fun build and scratches the same itch as chunky 90s gadgets with the clear plastic casing. perfect for people (me) who love redstone that moves and makes noise and are also extremely lazy

Hai there!,.. live the vids mate!,. But one question. Can you leave out the first stickypiston? I made it directly from my chest thru 3 hoppers into the first silo where the 2nd and 3rd do have the stickypistons to transport it further thru the line

Yeah its a nice design, i built it with one change in survival (replaced the blocks in the belt with hopers to make it faster), but it is very very very slow once you go over 2 modules (its rather slow with one, the more you build, the slower it gets). So i would say well done for the rather original and compact design, but its not very usefull in practice. Thank you!

Err ur gonna have to put those blocks back, without them it’s gonna be slower if not work at all as items would fall back down lol. The speed is as fast as it can be and tbh it’s only a little slower than other designs

If it’s twice as fast then it ain’t reliable even tho it may seem it, still cool with the horizontal layout but I just find vertical better for space efficiency 👍

@@TomcoMC it’s lossless due to the horizontal layout! that way you can have the feed tape full of hoppers rather than hopper/block combo. overall tho i think piston feedtape sorters like ours deserve a lot more recognition they are so much cheaper and easier to build!

yeah i might try one silo because mine is crazy slow. it's fine if you put items that belong in there, but as soon as you add a few stacks of things that go to the output chest, it takes forever to get them to filter thru

I really enjoy your video so far, but I’m pretty new to Redstone and I’m having a hard time setting up my hoppers correctly. I can’t figure out how to recognize what way they’re facing. And no matter what way I am facing when I place them side by side I can’t get them to connect. They only connect when I put them on top of one another. Do you have any suggestions for what I’m doing wrong? Thank you!

You need to crouch first :) then any block you click on to place the hopper it will face in that direction. That’s why he had to use a “temporary” block a few times, to get the hopper pointing in the right direction! But yeah just crouch and click :)

when the pistons move the hoppers, the hopper are above each other. How do i fix this Edit: the issue was one missing block under the obsidian now the right silo doesnt get filtered at all and just ends up in the output chest

@@black_squall i built mine 9 modules wide and it takes forever. tbh i dont believe theres a better option out there, if there is lmk. but i did put some single item sorters at the very beginning to filter out netherite, cobble, dirt. and some other stuff that you end up collecting in such rediculous quantities that it would slow everything down

@@Slowdevil666 yo check this sorter out, IMO the best one for bedrock that is actually simple . works on SMP perfectly. Only annoying bit is the noise but I made a little switch that turns it off when i come and go. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWbOp4ulqrqSoac (just make sure you build them 3 or 5 high, if you try 4 it will break.)

@@black_squall yes HOWEVER -i- am okay with this. And I wish I could tag all the comments because to ME I feel this is important. This is the ONLY sorter I have found like this that has consistently worked for multi item/1 chest. Speed doesnt matter to me (as of rn) because there is 1 other one with droppers but after building that 1 design FOUR TIMES--- it never worked on my xbox s. The chests at the bottom never loaded, it requires so much redstone, and quite frankly, I cheated and built this in creative because of my resources being screwed twice after building the failure model. So my opinion is a bit bias. Plus. This allows spaces between the chest (which I like) and I'm working on trying to connect a silo style storage TO this one (I have 1 moduel connected to 1 silo right now, just working on the loop to connect all 4, 2 silo, 2 multi). I will take the slow speed for the convenience of this. Plus, you can add AND reorganize if you want and it doesn't break (mine hasn't). I am also running my main chest clear along the back wall of this design instead of where it actually starts because I had already pre dug the area for the original dropper style and was forced to work with what I had. Honestly after dealing with a storage crisis during midgame, I built this, filled most of the storage, and I haven't turned my game on in a month out of burn out.

It’s not actually, bedrock tends to be good at limiting lag. So it works good on mobile aswell 👍

You can’t have a certain unstackable sorter in minecraft yet, but you can have a chest that holds all the unstackable items. There’s a few tutorials on how to make them and all you’d have to do is add it on 👍

Make the clock longer so it feeds more items at a time, theoretically it can be slightly slower than 1/2 hopper speed

@@hyk4905 the clock is the thing going 'on/off'. But making the clock longer would help if you had multiple of the same item being sorted. If you have 1 of each item it would end up being longer.

I mean , whats stops me from just making a line of chests and hoppers with water on top? The sorter is just filling the chests than i coud do a smaller one without any redstone or obsidian... just sayin

The sorter isn’t filling the chests, it’s sorting them through. The reason for the redstone is to slow it down so the hoppers can dump their items in the right place. If you did what you said nothing would be sorted out and they’ll just be a bunch of items in the lower chest lel
