Paige Spiranac Hi Paige, Locally in Tucson, the Starr Pass course is well conditioned, but challenging for the weekend player. The Views is a great course for all skill levels, both El Conquistador courses are unique and challenging and the Saddlebrooke Mountainview course is scenic and manageable. These are all reasonably priced courses open to anyone. Thanks for your time and consideration.

It's so easy to watch you play. I've learned so much from each of your videos and have actually taken a few strokes off my game. Your video on recovering from bad shots may have been the most impacting one yet. I get in my head too easily but you've helped me worked past it much better and my focus is way up!

I have played this course twice! Once in December 2012 and in December 2018. Both times were AMAZING! For two of us, it cost around $220. That was Green, Cart, and club rentals! They have VERY good clubs for rent at $35 a bag. I picked the Taylormade set and my father picked a Ping Set. I shot a 79 the last time I played and didn't even feel like I was grinding. Watching this video made memories come back. Paige described everything perfectly!

It's amazing it's still 200 as of December 2023... walking only though. Even better if you're a senior or play during the week of of course a local. But given green fees have blown up since the onset of covid, this course appears to have not followed the greedy trend. Hope to be in Kauai soon!

I have really appreciated these two Kauai golf course vlogs, Makai and Wailua, since I played those last year and I have the same experience. Sure, Makai is superb and spectacular, but it is quite expensive, and Wailua is amazing value for money and was in great shape when I played it.

I had to laugh, just a little, when you commented on the sand in the bunker. I mean, if you can't get good sand in Hawaii... There are a couple of public golf courses in northern Utah you might check out, when the world settles down and you can do stuff like this again. The first is Bountiful Ridge. It's about 10 minutes north of downtown Salt Lake, kind of terraced 8nto the mountainside. Spectacular views over the Great Salt Lake area (hopefully, if/when you check it out, Utah's drought cycle will have passed and the lake will have filled back up quite a bit...it's still spectacular, now, but if you've seen it when the water level is up, it's kind of heart-breaking right now.) The other one is further north...the Logan River golf course. And it's apparently one of the toughest courses in Utah, from what I've heard. Its holes are relatively short...but the fairways are narrow, and there's not much rough before you're either in water or in woods, or in water in woods. I've only played the front nine there once, and lost six or seven balls... On second thought, maybe you don't want to do that one (but the scenery is pretty awesome...it's in a narrow valley so there are spectacular mountains to either the east or west...) That course is a really good way to stress yourself out.

I love the position of your trailing elbow at address, Paige. Being slightly below the leading elbow assures that trailing elbow moves in front of your body on your transition, clearing access to the strike itself. Nice short game. Maybe someday we can get together and play. My home course is Twin Oaks north of San Diego. Come play a "tight" course... my treat of course. As I am a super senior, I get to play out front though. Your being a professional caliber player, I think you would enjoy Twin Oaks to be honest. Especially the front nine. Poa greens though...

Paige, call me the odd man out, but I LOVE your style of explaining WHAT and WHY you're doing... course management. I have a favorite Public course... but I am embarrassed (only a little) to say it's a par 3... Twin Lake Village on Little Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire. I don't play often but let me tell you... of you can par that course, you can keep up with nearly anyone that plays at the highest of amateur level. come to New England and play an off the wall course sometime. Even Upstate NY has really nice public courses. Syracuse comes to mind. Public courses are wayyyyyy underrated all over. Thanks for your informative and explanatory videos.

That chip at 3:54. Ugh, This is the hardest shot for me. Every time I try this type of shot, I get so focused on the green and scared of what will happen if it lands in the junky fringe that I always overshoot it, just thinking I have to put it on the green before my ball starts to roll out on the chip. I gotta remember the way you took this shot.

LOL The front tees are for Super-Senior play. Players over 65 years of age (Hawaii has a lot of older players) use those front tees. If you're lucky, you'll get there someday. I used to hit about 280 off the tees, but as I have aged, I have lost distance of course. I just recently reached that "magic" age and now allowed to move up from the whites. Now I can birdie some holes again. Those front tees are where I play from now.
