The most useful, practical and cheap invention we aren't using nearly as much as we should is a liftback opening for sedans, that saves the same sedan shape, but with the practicality of a wagon. Skoda uses it, Audi A5, BMW 4 Gran Coupe, VW Arteon and a few more cars, but a huge majority of sedans don't, so you are forced to choose between an ugly wagon or useless sedan.

Hearing how the color changing panels may not be road legal. What about making it something one can only do while in the vehicle is in park. The vehicle has to be connected to a network to ensure no tampering. I just think this would be really neat to see at shows. But it will probably break and cause problems / expensive to repair.
