Deer and Boy caught my eye. The art style and atmosphere was compelling.

Phoenix Springs looks so interesting. Like you said I’m anxious about how the actual game will turn out, but the visuals are incredible. Also was a huge fan of Jusant from last year so I’m really intrigued by Cairn

Really enjoyed Future Games Show tonight. There were more games catching my eye than in Summer Game Fest.

This channel is so underrated. Thanks for compiling all of these and for being so positive. I think you should make a video on the Latin American games showcase too :3

Really nice summary of the show and selection of games. I wanted to see the show, but didn't get around to it. I like that it has information and opinion as well as the feeling that it seems complete, that all the highlights where in there and then some.

Thanks, appreciate the feedback! Tried to spice it up with some general opinion on the shows' staging and presentation

Great video! I can confirm that climbing is a very popular activity among french devs for some reason.

I also thought the future games show and latin american games showcase had some intersting games so hopefully you'll get to run through those when you get the chance. Some highlights for me were abyss zero, zodiac xx leo, curilemu and sopa.

I LOVE this format. So many games to wishlist. thanks for shining a light on them. for me the most exciting is Wanderstop and i have to try out Afterlove EP as well.

I'm hoping Wanderstop really goes into the dark... his other games both blew my mind

(0:55) Vaguely interesting historical context: From a reliable first-hand account, there had been several loud segments of applause for Jeb while speaking so there was an interruption by someone at the venue asking people to hold their applause and try to better meter it out so that Jeb could better be heard on camera, so when Jeb famously says "please clap", it wasn't in the context the meme presents it, he wasn't pleading for a response, he was actually making a joke about the request for quiet, it was just him saying "it's okay to clap". The meme did his candidacy in, but like so many viral things, it was a widely misrepresented moment.

That is interesting, but it's also an insight into his political instincts that he didn't say something less... you know. Pathetic-seeming :)
@the_elder_gamer5 ай бұрын
@@GamingInTheWild Not advocating for Jeb!, but I think I'd take pathetic-seeming over any of the performative strong-man types that keep cropping up all over the world these days. A decade of dialed-down, reality-focused, humble politicians would be a welcome change of pace.
@GamingInTheWild5 ай бұрын
@@the_elder_gamer I'm all for chill politicians. Jeb! was a weird outlier - clearly patently unsuited for leadership or politics, and embarrassed - even reluctant-seeming - in his attempts. So he's maybe not an apt jumping off point into a conversation on humility and power. More of a... dynastic laughing stock cautionary tale. But generally, yeah, chill politicians are preferable.

@@GamingInTheWild To boil it down, from my perspective, I'm just fatigued by the "anything goes" justifications to hold on or seize power. We need serious people tackling serious issues, domestically or internationally, but there are few examples of such serious people working in the political space. There are objective truths in the world, people need to face up to those challenges and not just fuel populist rhetoric to avoid the consequences of their corruption. Yet, there are at least a dozen examples of those types of people with political power today. When compared to that, any decent-seeming, broadly well-meaning person is an improvement. Ideal, no, better than (in no particular order) Balsanaro, Farage, Modi, Netanyahu, Melei, Orbán, etc., yes. As I said, I'm not advocating for Jeb!, only for something better than what appears to be the current standard. We'd all benefit from a little less crazy. (and we don't all have the enviable luxury of watching the world melt down from Iceland...though I do have the relative luxury of being several decades closer to death than the majority of YT viewers so even if everything goes off the rails, I'll only be wearing the gov't issued shock collar for a short time) PS - Indie games, hooray!

I’m hoping Cairn’s gameplay is more involved than Jusant. Jusant gave you the illusion of risk but once you figure out there isn’t to stress about it’s bogs down the game just a tad
