I don't think "Hope you're Happy,Lemon " can actually be described as Spicy . Because it's not at all like what the description made it out to be . It's hella wholesome. Explores the characters and their flaws. People are not one dimensional being. What we see and what we assume they are ,are not all there is to them. This manga does an incredible job at portraying that fact. How we see ourselves,and how others see us are indeed different. And this manga shows us to accept people,give them a chance and you'll find genuine conections. Really recommend this one.

@@PenultimatePenPen I just read the whole manga out as of today, and honestly Lemon is a really likeable and fun character. I would tell you if you want to go in completely blind, that you should treat this revelation as more of a hook only to get you sitting upright, as opposed to an actual character description on which you should judge her, or as a point of dreading that should deter you from reading. The manga as a whole is a really wholesome and easy, lighthearted read, not really much of a "spicy" series in the way Rent-a-Girlfriend or DomeKano are. It's also funny as well, so if you like fun romcoms then definitely give it a shot. I would say to not let the hook premise keep you from at least giving the first few chapters a shot, and that the story afterwards will definitely reward you for it by being very different from what your preconceptions of the story would have been if you had stopped just because of the premise.

@@thomasfalcon5234 Exactly 💯 This manga is definitely not what I'd call "Spicy" It's more of a slice of life drama about exploration of one's character and the multilayered personality of every people. . What I loved was that , after every character was introduced, we immediately form an opinion based on their 1st impression,their talking style and appearance, just to figure out that there's so much more to each of them than what we had assumed. . That is I think what the message is of this series, That people are more than what we see . So instead of judging them based on the little info we have, we should give them a chance. And we might just find genuine conections .

I don't think RuriDragon is all that unrealistic, at least not more unrealistic than other manga. It's just the total opposite of the usual trope we are used to so it sticks out more. It's like an anti-bullying manga. Also further into the manga you see that not everyone is immediately on board with it and they still are fascinatd by it. I had heard about “I hope your happy lemon” due to its insane translated name by a spanish manga company which translated the title to “Espero que seas feliz, Zorra”. In Spain Zorra is a misogynistic term which can be translated to vixen or bitch. Seeing that name made me think this was way dirtier and messed up of manga than what I got from Garnt’s and Joeys explanation and it only makes some sense for the start. Still seems like a really bad idea to translate your title to that.
