This is definitely one of those games where you gotta read the in game lore to fully understand what is happening. Reading the bestiary entries tells you all about what happened in journey to the West and what the motivations of the characters are. Baby head or Elder Jinchi is actually the dude who met the bear in the cinematic. And the fire blade wolf transformation (Guangzhi) and the guangmou boss are pupils of Elder Jinchi who coveted a Kasaya (a chinese robe) from a companion of Wukong's in Journey to the West. His greed sent his 2 pupils to steal it. Stuff went down with a nasty plot and "divine retribution" lead to the temple going up in flames killing everyone but Wukong's Party who escaped. Now the spirits haunt the mountain and the Bear (black wind king) is looking to rebuild an empire for the spirits of the mountain using one of Wukong's relics to legitimize their power. At the end of the cinematic the bear questions why his friend Jinchi wanted to covet the kasaya if he was an enlightened no attachments monk. His mentor explains it is because that kasayas are proof of monkhood that Jinchi desired to covet the kasaya to prove to the world that he had given up desire. Because the kasaya was so brilliant he thought that if he obtained that kasaya he would become more enlightened. It's a real chicken or the egg scenario where he is enlightened, but the disillusionment with his present reality compared to a much nobler reality causes him to chase after more enlightenment thereby corrupting him paradoxicaly a real chinese philosophy moment.

There are many instances where the anime does scenes better compared to the manga due to music, voice acting and animation so if you remove that then one piece is far less emotional and actually more chaotic in the manga. Most people have nostalgia for the anime rather then the manga, when One piece manga came out no one in the west read it on a weekly bases it wasn't until the anime got popular abroad people took up the manga and read it. What happen if they somehow in the future becomes this mega long series with several hundred chapters/episodes, do they get the 20 episode recommendation? also One piece has many arcs that are not that good so you can go around 100 episodes/chapter where nothing much has really happened and its just filler stuff. 26:28 the pay off is not that big since you get mentally checked out of the manga/show if its too long and nothing much excited has happened, if it goes 500 chapters/episodes with fakeout deaths in every arc it becomes like "the boy who cried wolf" where if lets say a crew member dies then its not going to be as impactful when you have been conditioned all the time they are not truly dead so the "scene" means nothing anymore, because at that point you just want the character off the screen. 27:15 The entire one piece to repeat the same formulaic reset arcs, and characters that are never growing and does the same thing over and over again? No, its honestly a waste of time not to mention the later story arcs becomes worse and worse which means the ending is not going to be satisfied.
