That happened to me but with my PS5 and God of War Ragnarok. I had it since 2022 but just got around to playing it last month. It was ok. Kinda boring. Breath of the Wild is a great game. Tears of the Kingdom felt like a DLC that they smacked a $70 price tag. Just a heads up- just pick up a used physical copy if you wanna play it. Thank me later.

Indie games on the eshop recommendation(from what i played):-Cult of the lamb if you like a cute roguelike stardew valley,don't starve, binding of issac,animal crossing inspired dungeon crawler -Bugsnax from the same people that brought you octodad the game is the literal embodiment of you are what you eat. cute bugs that are snaxs feed them or donate them,do little quests that will decide the ending of the game -dicey dungeons another rougelike dungeon crawler game but its a gameshow and the mcs are dices instead of animals and cults.but you really need to think of a strategy for beating the dungeon -just shapes and beats a rhythm bullet hell with a story and banger music it also has multiplayer, playlist to choose which level you want to play in different orders and some songs get unlocked by doing a certain criteria and a party mode(aka you don't die mode just bopping to the music)

Defenatly beside of rumors Switch 2 is playing Switch 1 that console is a good Option to play very cheap. 1hr Playtime per Year need around 1,3 kWh even If you Play 24 7 you don't need to play more than 20 Euros. Do that with PS 5 and you have a Bill of over 400 Euro.

I have to recommend a little bit of a hidden gem for Switch. It's a game called Outward Definitive Edition. Outward originally released back in 2019, but there's been some work done to release it on Switch in 2024. Admittedly, there's quite a bit of compromise done to make the game run on Switch, but any fan of survival RPGs absolutely should check it out. It's one of my favorite games because of it's many unique ideas, and having it portable on Switch is awesome.

I appreciate the video. The first game is better than the others, and it is a good recommendation. Though is very hard to select a top 5, I could try myself: SSB yeah, then probably Super Mario Odyssey. You have not played a Nintendo switch if you didn't play something retroish, such as Katana Zero, but I slightly prefer Neon Abyss, which is more enjoyable from more people (though not everyone). Fourth is very difficult to me, yet very important. You have to choose between Guacamelee 2, Hades and of course Cuphead. Hard choice, they're all very valuable games. Not to mention Hollow Knight AND Yoku's express Island. Maybe you can think that game could be a little worse that the ones I mention above, but it is still very enjoyable and cute, being very original. Yeah, so one of them. Last position is extremely difficult. We have so many good games. The challenge for me is between What the Golf and Katamari Damacy. Throwing a punch directly into my stomach, I choose What The Golf for its immense originality. Notice that this list I made is not a ranking. Now please comment and let me to know your own list.

I love these recommendations myself but the one feedback that I would give is that you said this is for someone who has never picked up a Switch. So assuming these people might not be very familiar with Nintendo games I would give recommendations that are a bit more varied and that would include games for people with different personalities, different ages and different reasons for wanting to pick up a Switch. Like maybe include Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon for people that wanna wind down after work, Mario Odyssey, Mario Party, Breath of the Wild and Smash Ultimate were great recommendations, but yeah I’d make it more varied for someone getting into Nintendo systems for the first time

Just recently bought the Nintendo Switch a couple of days ago and I'm really happy with it. I was a recent Xbox and Playstation gamer and haven't played anything Nintendo in years. I got Sonic Frontiers, Pokémon Scarlet, and Pokémon Arceus. The Switch also charges really fast and in the car. The only thing I don't like about Nintendo are the prices. The low graphics quality, small storage, and games priced the same as high-end graphics games with way more complexity doesn't justify the prices for Nintendo Switch at all. I'd say any new popular Nintendo Switch game should be priced at $40 if Nintendo even goes all out on the game, that is. Honestly, you'd save more money getting the Steam Deck because of how cheap the game sales are on there, and online multiplayer is free. I also hate that you have to have a join player code in Pokémon Scarlet for multiplayer instead of just jointing someone you don't know at random like most multiplayer games get right.
