Kingdom Come is an amazing game. That in mind, there actually is no PS5 version of the game. The PS5 version is essentially just the PS4 Pro version. There was zero update for the ps5, unfortunately.

One of the most impressive ports to me is batman arkham knight. That game shouldn't be able to even breath on switch. The amount of the stuff that has to be able to load in and out quickly is astonishing. Also my favorite game of all time Dying Light is so good on switch. Genuinely impressive.

@@yade1234 no it's still lower frame rate and so I'd say it's not for everyone on Switch but even though I still find it very impressive. I still play on a slot of older hardware even do this day so I guess I can kinda just get used it. Like I'll play on PC at 4k60 and Quest 3 with VR at 72hz all the way up to 120hz but then I'll go ahead and play PSVita and 3DS and Switch and Xbox 360.

You didn't bring up a _very_ recent example: Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown just released on the Switch last month, five and a half years after it first came out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and despite being the first Ace Combat release on Nintendo in over a decade, it was a _very_ good port! We (the AC community) thought the Switch wouldn't be able to handle it, and the developers thought so too for a while, especially with the clouds, but they were able to make it work and it plays very well.

@@benjaminmartin2922 For a Switch game, it does look great. Of course it doesn't compared to PC, but you should check Digital Foundry's video on it to see a good comparison with the previous lowest-spec machine, the Xbox One S. It's pretty comparable.

Life is Strange: True Colors is also a great port, it's a late PS4 game that looks good on Switch. The compromises they did to make it run well makes the graphics look closer to the original Life is Strange.

The thing I like about borderlands 3 on switch is the remade assets remind me of BL1 and the gyro aiming is superb, the 40fps gameplay is a bit wird but its still higher than any of the other borderland ports

The BioShovk and Borderlands ports are awe inspiring, I got my first case of Joycon drift playing Warframe, I spent sooooooo many hours in Overwatch that I made it a goal to get at least 1 POTG a week, Persona and Dragon Quest are perfect to take anywhere and try to bust out a few minutes on break at work. But my most played ports are FFVIII, FFXII, and Life is Strange.

Wreckfest is an amazing switch port. Yeah there are less NPC cars in racing but the resolution is fantastic and the frame rate is solid as heck. Even with less cars on track it’s still a blast and a silky smooth racing game on the go

If we're going by impact and sales numbers.. Balatro takes the cake. This game has created a wave of addiction and has even outsold MINECRAFT on mobile. This game is so fun and so addicting and so impactful for indies I think it deserves GOTY.

My friend and I watched the tech video of porting Dying Light to switch and I had to play it, I spent so much time in the game, so many nights staying up to 3am and then playing more the next day. The game only crashed once but never had issues again.

Great Video. Just to add with the Crysis stuff. Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 were among the pseudo miracle ports because it basically takes the Xbox 360 version of the game, increases the resolution and ups some assets, increases the Frame rate from that generation, to a solid 30fps, and even adds in brand newer generation lighting engine to the game, making it more of a better running remaster. Another example is Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. Not sure how much of it is a miracle port given you're going back to the original Xbox with that one. But I remember how much power the original Xbox needed to run the software, and yet the Switch not only outpaces it in graphics and resolution, they decide to bump that puppy up to a rather well-performing 60fps target.

I like how you said that missing ports for the video just talks about how many good ports are in the console. That being said, if remasters count we could count in the Tomb Raider trilogy. They preserved the games beautifully, and you can swap between the classic and remaster graphics on the fly with a button. It’s also the first time since the 90s that we can play the expansions legally.

I love having the option to playing Borderlands 3 portably...but even with the Satisfye grip, it's still awkward to play. If anything, I would play the game docked with the pro controller. Now that feels great to play. Still blown away on how good Warframe looks on the Switch and was really surprised that Kingdom Come looking phenomenal
