I wanted to buy an electric nylon, and the Cordoba Stage really appealed to me, but I am a left handed player and I have yet to see a lefty Cordoba Stage. I ended up buying an Ortega Tour Player and it is brilliant!

Same boat. Sadly I have yet to see anyone using the Tim Ibanez in an actual classical style. Everyone I've seen has them either trying to mimic his style or treating it like their first electric steel string

I got mine a couple months ago and it is fantastic, I’m using it to play vallenato music and works perfectly Wonderful sound and the bass strings are really powerfull

10:05 Cooper is reffering to the TOD10N from Ibanez (Tim Henson's signature). As a huge Tim Henson's fan, I would love to play his signature guitar but I get that there's a wider market out there with more affordable (but still really awesome) thin electric nylon guitars like the Cordoba Stage. Guys, if possible, could you review the TOD10N in the future? I've played one (wasn't mine) and I tell you, it DID NOT dissapoint

Alamo Music does an excellent job in comparison videos and most likely better than any other KZbin Chanels out there. To keep with tradition I believe a comparison video between the Godin G-tour and the Cordoba Stage. Two similar top quality acoustic electric nylon string guitars. Explaining pickup systems and pro and cons. I eagerly await the video. Always informative and well produced videos keep Alamo Music ahead of the curve.

Nice! I started on a nylon stringed guitar 42 years ago. Went to electric after a year. And I only started to play steel string acoustics 12 or 13 years ago. A guitar like this would make my circle round (sorry, Dutch proverb) 😁 I might be tempted. I like the blue finish btw.

Got the Traditional model with the cedar top and 2" nut. Blows the Henson Ibanez away, and it plays better than the Godin Multiac I tried a few years ago.

Mr. Coops - great playing. Cordobas are just great designs, look great, play easily for a wider fretboard/ nut width.

The Chet CE and CEC that started it all are HEAVY, except for the higher end chambered Studio model (Chet has Kirk Sand design them but Gibson had the rights ) Makes this an affordable evolution following the Godin incarnations.

Looking forward to this type of guitar being done with a really high end guitar construction.I think the electronics are good on all of these but I would like to see high end luthier work on some so that its not an add on guitar to a collection but a desired item. Very good demo and one of the best tone capture of the nylon experience I have heard in a demo on one of these.

@@TheSwordOfBathelion Thanks still not at the level I am thinking.I own a steel string and nylon string Godin The steel string is the multiac steel and the nylon string is the ambience ,the former is a far better instrument in terms of attention to detail.I am thinking of the type of construction seen in the Cordoba CE custom or the John Knowles guitars Thanks again though .

The Godin Encore I played had terrible action and felt like a toy. The Stage plays effortlessly. Also, it looks and sounds like an instrument costing thousands more.

This guitar has serious EQ issues. Sounds really dark and bassy always. That middle knob Q is pretty much useless. I returned mine today.

Versus classical technique. i.e. neck held high, thumb pad planted on the back of the neck, opposing the fingers on the other side of the neck. Also, he often uses a pick, which is "wrong" for a nylon and he plants his pinky on the body when picking, when classical guitar technique is for no bracing the hand against the guitar top. His right hand moves too much. His hand comes down at the wrong angle over the strings. For classical. Fine for what he's doing.

Be aware, that's not a production color, or rather, it's no longer available , And it's not at ALL like a Taylor T5, The radius is actually 17.7 in. And you can tell Zac Brown he's playing his guitar 'wrong', but who's gonna tell Willie?

The Chet Atkins model was a CEC or CE and had a much better sound then this Cordoba. If you can get your hands on one of those for a good price get one.

I have a Washburn c5ce and Cordoba has the same number, why is that.? Oh let us sell you your 5or6 favorite guitars. Also when I bought mine it was considered underrated and now it's considered vintage and an investment guitar. It has an dark cedar single piece top .

I don't get it, guys. How could you be so enthusiastic about this guitar ? I bought the red one. Yeah, well, ok : from the outside it has a very elegant look (if you change these simili-wooden knobs : their colour doesn't suit any other wood colour of the guitar), the body is nicely slim and the guitar is very light (which is nice if your shoulder or back hurts). The action is a bit to high and I asked a luthier to fix that. In my point of view, this Cordoba Stage is not worth its price at all. "A revolutionary pickup system" ? Are you kiddin' , Cordoba ? The 3rd knob isn't very useful and the mics are OK but not great. And on top of it all, the same remark could be made about the guitar machine heads : the guitar quickly gets out of tune while you play flamenco, gypsy or blues, or whatever isn't soft and sweet. I'm not satisfied at all !

This guitar is not constructed properly. I played it twice put in a hard shell case. The next time I pulled it out of the case the strings pulled the bridge off the body. I am very upset this is a factory defect . Ive never had this happen I been playing guitar 40 years. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@Bossanovawitcha It's not a solid body. I bought one and am extremely pleased. The lowest knob takes care of the body cavity mic level and controls (to an extent) your acoustic thumpage. This thing will howl like a b**ch, even when the acoustic holes are blocked. I am not complaining. It just needs your attention to balance volume piezo level and body cavity mic balance. You know none of these so called "experts" ever delve into things like feedback howl, best strings to use, degree of bad string grindage on frets, manipulation of bridge height from model to model. They just like to say how awesome the guitar is, and how much you should pay for yet another guitar.
