My favorite part about Amy is that she truly is a nerd, the kind of kid who would be bullied and excluded from school. A lot of the times writers tend to make their women characters have quirky or nerdy traits but always have this underlying tone of 'yeah she has these specific flaws but is still really cool and badass' then write those traits off. With Amy though those traits are always part of her character and melt into her badass scenes. She's awesome because of these traits not in spite of them.
