Allow me to answer that. Have you ever noticed that when not plugged into the wall, your laptop runs slower or isn't as good? Or how performance on your Nintendo Switch is down when not docked? It's because the system is not using as many resources and throttling itself to conserve power. The same thing is happening here, when Baymax is low, his internal CPU begins to work slower which causes glitches in his AI and loss of intelligence. This is either something Tadashi overlooked cause he decided Baymax would not be seeing extended periods of use outside of regular care and most likely has a good battery inside or a flaw Tadashi was unable to fix prior to his death. Whilst Baymax was still operational and effective, he was probably still a prototype and it was stated in the follow-up series that Tadashi ran an intensive diagnostic program which would take days. Heck, even the rebuilt Baymax had glitches without the AI so its also possible that the endoskeleton was not 100% compatible with Baymaxs programming and suffered occasional glitches

I adore baymax's pathfinding it's actually very realistic I've worked with quite a few machines used for automated cleaning and have even worked in development departments and I've always found the way robots gently try to make their way through a crowded space adorable he reminds me of my Roomba in particular I've named my new one Baymax after him

one way to recreate baymax, not entirely is to have him respond to pain noises, and have him walk, and we need him to have every word in the English dictionary that’s the closest thing I could think of, but we could also have him have conversations in any scenario that may be impossible but we need hope and patience, just like it took Tadashi many trys to make baymax EDIT: just remembered Siri and google assistant so we got the conversation thing done, so we are pretty close to making a real baymax, that’s just amazing
