It's great that UK is still using Locomotives for their services. I know these weren't built by BREL but still nice to see transpennine ordered Locomotives of the diesel varients

The Class 73 is an electro diesel built 53 years before the 88s....

Well the Class 73 is Primarily Electric power But the Class 88 is Full Dual-Mode that’s what I meant sorry if I confused you

@@guirleineexantus1114 the 88 is primarily an electric loco, the diesel engine is only really for last mile connections and shunting.

The 73/9 have 1600hp on diesel, the 88s only have 940hp

@@47606odin skips are gorgeous, maybe I'm biased from having the British Pullman every 3 odd weeks but theyre great. My problem with 68s is that they replaced basically all the flask trains from dungeness with em, meaning I hardly ever see a pair of choppers or tractors running the flasks anymore thanks to them lol
