Joe Clark was actually married to my cousin Hazel from Hackensack NJ which is about 15-20 minutes away from here. He was so different personally outside from his job as principal. He was so nice, caring and calm outside of school. During the school day it was like he was a soldier on the battlefield and acted like he barely knew me. I had 2-3 issues while at EastSide. All the times he made sure I was taken care of. Once I got into a fight (and actually started the shit lol) he took my side and I didn’t get in trouble. He made us both shake on it and squash it and left it at that. To this day we still see each other around and are really good now. My nephew is about to marry his daughter and we get together and have the best of times.’

I saw that movie back in 89', it was funny then and it's funny now. I saw Mr. Clark on 227 television show and you're right he is a nice person. But with all that stupidity he's had to deal with from 67' and 87', he had no choice! He knows the teachers have their shit together so he could give a damn about them, he just wants to see the kids graduate.🧑‍🎓

Including the mayor school board and local law enforcement sent by the mayor to harrass this man and did everything in their power to assassinate his character. What saved him and his job was the studentsz, their parents, activists, community leaders, etc making noise threatening to expose the mess going on! Corruption from the top was rampant. The mayor had no choice but to leave him tf alone ! He got results ! Period. Them other folks who are pink skinned were envious of his ability to turn around the second worst high schools in America outside of one of the high schools in south central Los Angeles which was #1 Facts!
