CFB Fan you made this comment somewhere else. It’s not what you think this guy is asked to be the best everything on our team. Has to make up for everything we lack. This year it was pass rushing because we lacked any guy who can make a constant impact as a blitzer. If he wasn’t trying to chase after the qb so much as a safety, he would have an opportunity for more picks or forced fumbles when he cracks people in the flats or over the middle. Guy is a missile going after the ball carrier. He rushed 93 times 2nd most of any DB. Guy can do everything you need for a defense and he’s a great leader. You get him some help so he doesn’t have to do things the team is lacking and let him play in his regular “Lurker” position and he’s going to stuff the stat sheets. Either way, what ever he does, he makes such an impact on the team. After all the bad signings we’ve had over the years, we finally have a no brainer. Make him wait another year like Donald had to then make him the highest paid safety in the league.

Imagine how bad our defense would of been if this guy wasn’t literally our best “Everything” on Defense? Maye is our best deep zone cover Db, but Adams can cover Zone, Man, Tight ends, pressure successfully whether that means batting the pass at the line, getting home, or forcing the Qb into JJ, Basham, or Philips. Dude is an incredible open field tackler, great pursuit chasing RB’s down from the other side on cut backs or misdirection, gets behind the line for losses, and stops guys from getting across on 3rd downs. Great instincts, great player, great leader. This is someone you build around I pray Douglas makes the right move and brings him back doesn’t matter what he asks for.

He is the only good player on this joke of a team. It's sad because he has true hall of fame potential. When the jets fail to resign him while they pay Bell boatloads of money to be the worst back in the league, Jamal will go to a real defense where he can truly SHINE and the jets fans will wallow as he will be another piece that got away. He is making these plays with no help. The jets need a QB, RB, WR, TE, G, OT, DT, EDGE, ILB, CB in the upcoming draft and free agency to help this guy out or else hes never even gonna reach his fullest potential.
