One thing to remember is that this video is essentially a highlight reel, so it's good to remember that there are plays where he made no difference (that win/loss makes it clear). I'm not saying it's his fault if they lose but every guy have downs where they are basically a non-factor due to distance from the ball or plain missing the mark. It's entirely within the realm of possibility that two people can see the guys performance across the season and come away with different opinions.

@@MrVoldross one safety no matter how good he is, isnt going to carry a defense or a bad team. . I'm not a Jets fan but if I remember right their two MLB were injured all season & Sam Darnold missed a few games too. So using W/L to evaluate a player who's not a QB is pretty redundant.

They needed help in the secondary, and this dude is a stud. Sucks that they pulled McDougald out as he's one of the locker room and defensive unit leaders, but they needed an upgrade. Quandre Diggs, Quinton Dunbar**, Shaq Griffin, and now Jamal Adams - that's definitely better from where they were a year ago. ** Dunbar is currently on the commissioner exempt list, meaning he can train with the team, but can't actively play until the league concludes their investigation, and the legal investigation wraps up. Still can't believe that he would do something as stupid as armed robbery and hold a team press conference just hours after his arrest warrant was made. I know there's affidavits saying he wasn't involved, but man, to be swept up in something like that on the eve of signing with a new team is ridiculous. Gotta start making better choices, including the people he chooses to hang around with.

Now that the Seahawks have got him, I can see the resemblance to Kam more. He doesn’t have the size of Kam but he does play like Kam. What Kam was in the old Legion of Boom defense was a do it all safety and could be lined up at any position just like Adams. I think that’s what the Seahawks have really been missing, not a superstar pass rusher or lockdown corner but an enforcer at safety that struck fear into offenses and Adams has been that. Back in the Legion of Boom days, Kam was always overlooked for his impact and that lack of presence he had has been felt on the Seahawks defense these recent years so with the price that Seattle paid, they definitely see Adams as that permanent replacement for Kam in their secondary.

Hey Brett, I'm definitely not an expert on being a lineman but I think I see why Adams sniffed this play out. Previously in the video you said that Adams has an understanding of line techniques and such, and at 7:29 I see the possible reason that he saw this was a screen. Steelers lineman Matt Feiler leaves his stance in a mix of a hot block (a passing play where the lineman block as if it's a run, my school uses it as a signal), and a pass set. Usually in such a block the guard would explode off the ball and drive the defensive end who lined up inside away from the double teaming center and left guard, but instead Feiler throws a punch to the end pads while leaning forward, as if to gain space. Adams glances towards Rudolph and Feiler and I think he saw Feiler getting ready to move towards him and Rudolph winding up, along with that horrible block from the tight end. All this happens in the space of less than a few seconds and it's incredible that he saw this. Quite the play.

Commenting this at the End of Week 11 2020 The Seahawks (who traded the Jets 2 firsts and Our Saftey Bradley McDougald during pre-season) are now 7-3 and the Jets are 0-10. Just about everything you said in this video has come to fruition and now that Seattle Defense has started to build chemistry after a historically bad start, the presence of Jamal Adams has become that much more noticeable on Seattle's Defense, and that was made even more poignant after missing 4 straight games. Jamal is talking about wanting to retire here in Seattle now and as a Hawks fan, I can not wait to see how he turns out as he and the coaches and the 12th man **once were allowed back in the stadiums** get more and more comfortable with one another. 3:29 Can anyone tell me why the right tackle lines up so wide to the outside. Considering it's a run to the left, shouldn't he be closer to his guard so Jamal has less of a chance to shoot the b-gap he's responsible for?

This is my thought, as a Rams fan, I really don’t want it though 😥 I just imagine if the Rams hadn’t sold the farm for Ramsey, and sold it for Adams instead. I’d of been fine with that.

Oh well that would put the Hawks on a Super Bowl run

as a Seahawks fan I would give our first round picks of the next 2 years and our second this year also throw in our starting ss rn Bradley mcdougald

Oh man, with Quandre and Shaquill this secondary would be deadly

Yahir Rivera if you’re a seahawks fan, then you know that you may as well get rid of your first round picks, you never use them well anyway 😂😂

I've been waiting for a film room on Adams for awhile now and of course it comes when doing one is like a knife in the gut for me.
