The best body skin care I have ever received was from a dermatologist in the 1970s. It was for my keratosis pilaris (little dry skin bumps on upper arms and thighs). After bathing or showering, the doc advised applying Nivea body cream on damp skin. Damp skin is key. It resulted in the most moist, soft, smooth skin.

I love your fashion trend videos, Justine. I usually don't venture too far into trends but they're still fun to look at 😍 I'm an American with some French heritage and I find your accent so comforting. I'm most excited about the melted metal trend. The nail polish looks amazing. So many of these trends remind me a bit of the 80s, I was a teenager then 😁 I'm in my 50s now and I like classic pieces with some edgy thrown in. But I do like trying small things that can change up my accessories, nails and makeup, things that aren't difficult to add and mix with old favorites.

The unique-make-it your-own jean jacket trend is cool. I remember watching the video for 'Stop Me If You Think You Heard This One Before" by The Smiths and all these cool guys in the video had unique denim jackets with artwork of Morrissey, The Smiths album covers, Elvis Preseley etc. that I went out and had my denim jacket painted on the back with the album cover of "The Queen is Dead" by The Smiths. This was back in 1985.

As a mid-30s woman as well I'd suggest start small and/or with a practical bow. Like you might tie/pin a bow on your bag or get a blouse with an in build bow around the neck. I also love to braid in some ribbon and tie my braids closed into a bow. A velvet ribbon is also nice as a pony tail tie and gives me a lot of historic vibes. Or replace shoe laces with ribbons, voila small but practical bow. Longer silk scarves also tie nicely and woolen winter hats look a bit silly on everyone, so thats the perfect place to pin a bow to (especially on berets).

As disparate as they are, I actually think you could wear them together. Like, you could combine a sweater vest with those nails you liked, Justine, to make the grandpa look more modern and not frumpy or costume-y.

I have big 70s style glasses but with a modern twist, curly hair (big no matter what) and love a good grandpa sweater. Put those together with my silver jewelry and that’s how I’d do it. Not everything has to be the star and anything inherent to you will automatically look good.

I began to indulge my self-care with skincare back in 2016, and it is hilarious how many products I have now to choose from, but I have them arranged with pretty bowls and stones and candles alongside various aromatherapy oils in my bathroom and choose different ones depending on my mood.
