I got the 1st season at a Goodwill and watched the whole 1st season a few times. So glad I can find it on KZbin so I can watch the rest of the series. Such a good show and so many actors that got bigger roles after being on here! Sad that John Spencer has passed. Hard to believe Martin Sheen is 84 now.

Appreciate the content, but it’s a crime to not include Toby’s rant in the Oval Office after he found out about the MS. “ I bet all the money in all my pockets against all the money in your pockets that it was Leo, who nobody elected!!!!” made me convert to Sorkinism

I’ve seen this show countless times. It started when my at her introduced it to be when I was in high school (UK) and I can honestly say it ignited my interest in government and politics. Although, real politics differs greatly from WW, and there are many people across YT and beyond who criticise the show for being too idealistic and naive, I can honestly say it still hold a special place in my heart, so much so it inspired me to go study foreign policy and American politics at university. Season 2 has always been one of my favourites, looking at how Josh, Toby, Sam and CJ met Leo and Jed and their journey’s to the White House, shame that didn’t appear much in this video, would love to see a long form video on those flashbacks. Also love seasons 6/7 with Santos v Vinick and would love to see a log form video summing up the GE campaign between them plus maybe Arnie becoming Secretary of State. Keep up the good work on this channel, sure I speak for loads when I say it’s great to see these clips.

23:45 Although the king of Thailand's name was Bumibol Adulyadej, his regnal name was actually Rama IX. It would have been incredibly cool if President Bartlett would have used the regnal name in response to the introduction, showing off a greater depth of knowledge than the guy standing next to him.

38:32 - this storyline didn’t add up to me. It might have worked if it was a blogger or a podcast or really *anyone* but Danny who broke the story. Danny is a seasoned White House reporter who needs access to and a good relationship with the administration to be effective. He is also seasoned enough to know the president’s family is off-limits and the president would be red-hot when this quote came out. If Ellie had called him, he would have at a bare minimum warned CJ way in advance to let her know the circumstances - not after the quote, he might have asked permission, and he possibly would have simply rejected the call completely.

I'm looking at that Boy Scout tripod firewood formation at 20:59 (a formation which is meant for open air, NOT an indoor fireplace) and I'm screaming internally because if those Ivy League idiots actually light that, I'm going to have to figure out time/dimension travel and throttle them both. Edit: Ooookay, Josh and Sam lit that fire, so I need to call the local NASA office and talk to their people. At least five people over there have a semi-workable time/dimension/multiverse travel theory. I can't help with the mathematics or the science, but I will volunteer as a test subject.

Look, I love seeing these clips again, but whoever edited this extended one missed the point of most of them. Case in point with the last one -all the Greg Summerhaze build up and then cut the most important quote from Toby/Leo? This is supposed to be "the best" of Season 2, and it doesn't include the scene in the limo/hospital after the shooting? The guy in the hole story? The Toby bouncing the ball cold open? The Two Cathedrals rant at God? Please tell me this was done by a work-experience kid who hasn't seen the show. Or maybe AI.

There's an actual factual misspeak by Toby. Jamestown wasnt 16th century. The settlement was founded circa 1608, which is 17th century. If Toby was referring to the "lost" Roanoke settlement circa 1578....well, he shouldnt have said Jamestown. Pretty sure on this.

It’s probably harder to chop up clips from drama than comedy but why y’alls video either 2 minutes or 1 hour long lol. Sweet spot is probably around 10 minutes per topic. An example: The video about Josh holding the press briefing when CJ got root canal should’ve gone longer to show him getting scolded by the President at the Oval Office. You got this whichever person(s) in charge of this account!!!

I love TWW - and I know he is revered and beloved, but I gotta be honest - I cringe at so many of John Spencer’s lines…in scene after scene it often sounds like he doesn’t really understand why the character is saying the words in the script… or like he never learned the difference between the main punctuation marks (I know adults like this!) - and the result is that he just assigns random emphasis and intonation…making Leo’s lines sound out of place and weird. …eg 5:20 the simple line “I’m sorry sir” - is clearly meant to be read as a *question* - Bartlett starts jabbering, wants an answer, and Leo is caught off guard, so says “I’m sorry sir?” as a polite substitute for “slow down, Mr President…what are we even talking about?” - but instead Spencer states “I’m sorry sir.” as if he had just dropped the phone or burped or something. The Elliot Rausch seen before that is just…bad. The worst of several misdelivered lines is the last one after “who do you think I’m going to agree with?” - He offers the “14 doctors” line with that totally out of place emphasis on the word ‘should’ - Leo isn’t contrasting two groups of doctors (one who says he SHOULD wait a week, the other says he SHOULDN’T wait a week) But that’s not what is happening in the scene. He’s asking - “Mr President, do you think I’m going to agree with the DOCTORS who want you to wait?…” (implied:) or YOU? - the ‘who think you should wait a week’ phrase is a descriptive throwaway, but Spencer randomly decides to stand on the word ‘should’ which doesn’t make any sense as a point of contrastive emphasis. Leo has a case of Mandy-itis - where he seemingly makes no effort to understand the flow of the dialogue. And no, sorry, but I do not accept any “he’s just a quirky actor, that’s what makes him unique” / Christopher Walken argument…i come to a screeching halt every time I hear him blow one of his lines.
