What a sweet video. The olden days. Lol. I started to follow Sydney Dorman, she bought this house. I couldn’t do it. Just watching a few things outside that she changed, and knowing the potager was coming out. It was painful to watch. 😞🥲

Hi Linda, even though this message about gratitude was conveyed last year it still stands. Life is hard for so many right now and even though it may not affect one directly the negativity and sadness can hang in the air and we feel it. I have never turned to my garden for peace and escape as much as I have the past few years. I feel so fortunate to be have a place like mine to get mentally lost in. Thank you so much for all of your videos and heart felt messages!

Best reminder (for not forgetting a hose or sprinkler left on) is an inexpensive bangle left on the tap. When you turn a tap/sprinkler on, remove the bangle from the tap and slip it on your wrist. I sometimes potter around the garden with a few bangles on each wrist. This works for me in a large garden in the arid outback of Australia, where our average annual rainfall is less than 12” (and only 8” and 9” in 2 of the last 5 years. I buy bangles from Op Shops.

I think hyacinths have the most beautiful smell. Ours are blooming and it makes me so happy every time I walk past them 😊-Cara

I'm finding solace in your videos all the time. Worldly issues or everyday stresses, your videos are an escape for me when I can't get out into my own garden quite yet

Hi Linda. Your previous Fairy Tale home no longer has the protégé boxwood garden. The new owner has completely removed it. Which I was sadden since so much of your hard work is gone which made that place special. This was fund memories.

Oh... like visiting an old friend. I love you sitting on that back stoop and the grateful reminder. Its hard to believe it's been one year and the people of Ukraine are still suffering. I agree , we can do what we can, but also take solace in our homes and gardens and peace in our lives. I also hope your replicate the back stoop stone landing and brick steps at the fairy tale cottage. It just exudes charm.

Oh I am out numbered on this but I like the idea of painting the chairs gray. The chairs aren’t the focal point so blending them into background makes sense. Also no gloss on the door would look nice. Everything looks great Linda.

What I did with uneven buckthorns, is go buy the same size buckthorn as the taller one, removing the smaller one so as to match the height of the tall one. Best way. I wouldn't prune the taller one down, because it still won't match the other one because the width of the one pruned won't match the smaller.

Perfect timing with this video as my daffodils & tulips are starting to pop through soil. Where is Mr. Bunny from?

Everything (dwarf irises, hilde tulips, grape hyacinths, squill, snow crocus, snowdrops) except the ANEMONES - yet again, 2nd year, this time instead of being eaten they all rotted :(

This video was still at her previous house. I would not want to confuse myself with her posts of her previous house that is now owned by the Dormans. This was posted 51 minutes ago or it came up 51 minutes ago…
