My "brush with greatness" moment. Was at the Oahu airport years ago, waiting to catch a flight to Seattle. Had my legs crossed and my nose buried in a Stephen King novel, when somebody passed by me and knocked my crossed foot off my knee with their suitcase. Guy said "sorry", I mumbled back "no problem", and he went on his way. My mom, who was sitting next to me, said "Hey. Isn't that the guy that's married to Meredith Baxter?". I looked up at the guy as he was walking away and said, "David Burney? No. That's the guy that's married to Paula Prentiss." The guy that bumped my foot was Richard Benjamin.

kiyrow You know, Mary mistaking bats for a bird would a lot funnier if she called them crows. Sure, Crows and Owls don't hang upside down like Bats do, but a crow is easier to mistake for a bat than an owl. Even the darkest of owls don't look completely black...

Brad Jones, AKA Cinema Snob, is and was the reason I tuned into Channel Awesome. I've been a Patreon of his site for some time until I lost my job, but I always tune in for new Cinema Snob episodes. I wish I could have met him when I auditioned for CA back in 2012 but time is history and that was simply not the case. Perhaps one day I'll be a content creator myself and if Brad ever tunes in and finds me I'll find myself to feel quite accomplished and deeply satisfied. Even if he hates what I make.

I thought Brad Jones was based in Springfield, which is why I was so impressed. Then again, this was made in 2014, and Svengoolie had begun airing nationally by then. Ah, well. Still a pretty awesome moment in my books.

Let's be honest here.. from all the behind the scenes stuff that we got, especially around the CA movie productions, Brad was always the only that came of as the cool and normal dude. Everyone else came of a sperg, psycho, had a huge ego or was just incompetent. I'm not saying they are all bad people and Brad can't be friends with them, just saying the writing was on the wall for years and Brad was always one of the very few that no had a bad word to say about. I don't see that changing because Brad is all in all a decent human being.
@Youmama1876 жыл бұрын
Watch Out because he has severe clinical depression, and he is waiting for this to blow over. He doesn't want to cut ties with friends there that supported him in his worst time. Is it a good reason? For his PR no, but as someone who has suffered from severe clinical depression I know what it feels like when you have a set of people who were there for you. You don't leave them even if you don't agree with them. And he has admitted to the depression about a year or so ago on video. Also if obscurus lupus isn't tearing him down, and still supporting Brad then what fucking right does anyone else, who has literally nothing to do with this shit show except to bitch in the comments, have to say anything. You want to be pissy at Channel Awesome, then do it. They have enough trash around them to burn them at the stake, but leave the producers that have nothing to do with this, and are just trying to make a living alone
@philjr57145 жыл бұрын
cory F That’s a great way to put it. Sometimes we find friends in our darkest times that may not be the best. But you still respect them for helping you out of that funk. Trust me going from depression to happy and stable? It’s like being stuck in mud only to seconds later driving on clean fresh blacktop. It’s a huge relief. Just because a few people did some stuff he probably had no idea about? Until it was too late? Why hate the whole crew?
