This is gold. For the most part, their live work was better than their movies. From the start, they instinctively knew how to work together to get audiences laughing.

Questar Entertainment, thank you so much for putting this show here! If it wasn't for you I don't think I would ever get to chance to see it. I've watched every episode and I was expecting for one or two to be less good, as one would with any show, but that didn't happen. Every single one was hilarious!! So, again, thank you! And most of all, thank you Dean & Jerry...for everything!

Turner classic movies should have a marathon of Jerry's movies, like they do when an actor or actress dies. 😂🎥📺🎬He was My favorite comedian and I will always watch His movies! 👍

To me the engagement sketch is one of their very best. It's funny and a little sad. Dean and Jerry were so wonderful in it. It was also their last sketch on the cch.

My old friend, jazz drummer, Bob Levey, son of the legendary bop drummer icon, Stan Levey, sent me a nostalgic video called, 'The Colgate Comedy hour with Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis. -- Around the 25:56 mark, during the Violin scene; the Raven haired beauty with the movie star looks and wearing a white mink stole is Shirley Van Dyke, Bob's mother. She is seated on the Right, in the middle seat next to an older lady. - At one point Jerry hugs and kisses her. --In spite of the 'spin' that was put on her career in the book, 'Stan Levey, Jazz Heavyweight' , she never wavered. Instead, worked hard, using her God-given talent and beauty to obtain roles in various movies.-- My wife Lisa and I were amazed to see how much Bob resembled both his mother and his father GOD bless them both!!! --- Artt Frank. Longtime drummer with Chet Baker.

Why does Dean seem softer than usual with Jerry even though they were having a huge fight at the time? Or at least that was what was officially said... these two were gold together. And I still think they did NOT want to real break up

When they added pathos to their skits and films, Dean hated it. U can tell it was over. Dean looks done here. Dont blame him. Dean once said “When people called him the next Chaplin and he started to believe it, things were never the same again” I agree. The pathos stuff was sappy. Martin and Lewis, IMO, were at their best from ‘49-‘53. When they kept makin Dean the heel in their films it got to be too much.

kathleen bohannon I think that they both wanted their space! JL was much younger than Dean and he wanted to do so much! Dean as well was ready to move on. Dean was also tired of the press giving credit only to Jerry! Plus, Jerry was an emotional needy guy while Dean was more introverted, easy going, and carefree! Jerry was the one taking care of the writing for the team and also the business part. Dean played golf! There were also so many outside forces and pressure from everywhere. The world they lived in wasn't the best place to continue to nurture a real friendship. It was just time...people who hate Jerry can continue to do so...it doesn't matter..haters are haters 🤷 however, when a split happens it's never one person's fault, people grow apart...other interests develop..it happens

@@marym5037 Acts dont stay put. Things have to evolve to keep an audience interested and two human beings can only parallel for so long on a demanding market they were in. It all worked out. They talked from time to time later in life after Dean Jr.s death and the telethon reunion thing that Frank arranged. I'm sure they are carrying on up there in the big stage in the sky.

This show was produced when people were not so thin/skinned and could also laugh at themselves. During Jerry Lewis’ career, he was the brunt of Jewish jokes… and he cracked a few himself. The humor was all in FUN, and not negative “agendas” like so many of our late-night to hosts of today are.
