Fuel tank guy at the beginning was a really great rep and you could tell Stanley had respect for him. That's the kind of stuff I love to see.

In 1971 the 6 wheel Argos were used at a lumber camp in British Columbia where I worked to get to and from the cut area and staging areas. As well as bringing fuel cans back and forth. They all leaked but not badly. We greased them every night if we went through water and weekly if not to keep water out of the bearings. Chains were oiled weekly as a rule. Brutal to ride in. No suspension just big tires. Cheers 🇨🇦

You need to grease your Argo’s regularly to avoid problems, especially when you float. On some models, the zerks can be difficult to get at. Starting with 2024 models, they will have zerk extensions so you can quickly put a couple pumps of grease into each bearing quickly. I am waiting for a 2024 model.

Greasing the driveshafts on my Yamaha Kodiak is a nightmare, but doing it regularly has kept them tight over 14 years of abuse. Definitely worth the trouble

I owned a 8 wheel Argo and I had the track for Winter. I never had problems with the wheel seals or chains in 5 years. I dove that through a marsh, I was in the water all the time.. I would travel a lot wet Boggs and sandy beaches all the time. With the tracks I was in 3 feet of snow with a load of wood in the back.. I have never had water come in.. Thousands of the 6 and 8 wheel Argos are sold to the Hydro guys here in Canada and they love the things.. You will always have a few that have problems. Tell me any ATV, UTV that never had problems.. As for the Argo with the big wheels it new, you will have problems. Those Shirpaw have been made for like 20 years now and they still have problems

I've had about 5 Argo's over the years, generally good machines. Get the 8x8, not 6x6 its much smoother. If properly maintained with the bearings packed full of grease, you will be fine. If taking in deep mud or snow, tracks are a must.

The RNVac thing would be more useful if it had an - on board - battery pack, as being tied to a mains power source (or inverter) could be a pain for many. That aside, cleaning up after mowing or land clearing it could be very useful.
