A short tribute to one of the greatest places on earth. I've been the entire way from Mizen Head to just north of Donegal along the wild Western coast with a native Irish friend from Rathkeale, Co Limerick. It was the most memorable and beautiful journey of my life. Go if you can. You will never regret it!

This is a touching documentary ; you must have roots close by. These are ancient lands, where so much happened. I appreciate how you put into perspective the cruel harm done to the Irish through the centuries by the Brits. Cromwell was a nasty piece of work, and his generals were no better. The modern threat (international assassins) are the cosmopolite Bankers. For God's sake, KEEP THEM AWAY FOR EVER. Their specialty is taking over (through finance, the only thing they know) local culture and and stifling it, while soon after claiming it to be theirs. An old Robber Tribe tactic they're fond of resorting to. In the meantime God protect and preserve Eire. May she and her people live and thrive INDEPENDENTLY forever.

For those wishing to fly into Ireland, I would suggest that you consider using Shannon Airport for several reasons unless you have business in Dublin, etc. The airport is rather centrally located, they have direct flights from the US, with customs infrastructure going in both directions and the Irish rental vehicle GPS system is second to none. We've travelled the major motorways, by-ways and lesser roads with ease using this system and never once opened a map or got lost. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Our way of travelling might not suit everyone, but we generally pick an area or town to visit, drive that direction, often stopping along the way for whatever grabs our attention to shop, eat, drink, take pictures, chat up the locals and then continue on. Driving is easy as long as you understand that the smaller roads are more scenic but take longer and the roundabouts can be fun as long as you follow the Irish driving rules. For my first trip, I used KZbin to learn to circumnavigate the roundabouts properly and had no issues getting around them. Another plus, is that Ireland accepts your US driver's License without the need to qualify for or purchase an International driver's license. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~In two weeks, we saw exactly one police officer and he was going into the sub-station near the Muckross House for shift change. The biggest disappointment I ever had in or with Ireland, is that they haven't learned to how to stretch my vacation time any out longer yet. We are already planning a return trip and will be going back soon. ~~ I cannot wait to return.

I am going to Ireland with some of my friends on a school trip this upcoming summer. We will also go to Scotland and England.
