For getting the paint out of GW pots, use airbrush medium or an acrylic medium of your choice to "water" down the paints to a thinner consistency to then allow you to pour them into dropper bottles with small funnels. You can get the paint to the consistency you want to put directly onto a model, and then you will not need to water down the paint in the future for generic base coats and it gets the paint to a better container. Happy hobbying, cheers from the PNW!

Great outcome - love it. Vampire Counts are legal in TOW, they are just in the legacy rules, so no re-release of old kits, or an Arcane Journal book. I agree they should be included properly, but it's not the worst situation.

For Christmas for myself, I bought the AP Speedpaint and Fanatic sets and gave all my citadel paints to my great-nephew as he's 13 and just getting into the hobby. The problem with the Citadel paint pots is that paint dries in the lid and the lid doesn't seal. You can use a modeling tool to remove the dried paint and then they'll seal better but all in all it's a crappy design for the pot. The old 90's paint pots that are like the P3 pots were the best. I love this mini and wish GW would re-release it as it's hard to find for a good price. Thanks for the video!

Trust me, you're closing the bottles. They come open on their own. You have to be constantly be closing them. AK Burnt Umber has been my go-to brown for most everything, it's just the best dark brown they have. Very opaque. Also, I believe Kemmler is the first named character in Warhammer fantasy (except Harry the Hammer).
@nomusenopaintКүн бұрын
Incredibly nice paint job as always. For transferring Citadel paints to droppers...it takes a lot of time. So best strategy for me was getting an easy to rinse metal funnel, adding some matte medium by Warcolours I think to the pots, adding a stirring ball, put on a good movie (preferably one you already know) and grab some beers and just start. It'll take some sessions depending on the size of your paint collection 😇

Looks amazing, I gotta dig my old Kemler out and revisit him, if for nothing more than my Mordheim warband. RE not closing your citadel pots, I find the little paint shelf in the cap lets dry paint build up behind the underside of the cap where the hinge is and that lets air in. Transfering to droppers is a lot of work, really wasteful for thicker paints.
@AzraelThanatos5 сағат бұрын
I have one of him that I did a long while ago in a rush at the time due to needing a painted army, While I love that sculpt, I really prefer the later version of Krell, to me the original looked kind of goofy next to Kemmler while the finecast one actually seemed to make him menacing.

I think the Old World should have an Undead Army. It doesn't have to be a Vampire based army, it can be like the 1st - 3rd Editions using Necromancers like the Lichemaster or Dieter. Back then vampires were not the major focus.

Definitely agree that TOW should have the 'legacy' factions as playable. Ridiculous that they were split apart like the children of a divorced marriage! (or even then you'd typically visit dad every other weekend...) My hope is that once the main factions are all released, that they would make summer campaigns - introducing & updating the pdf rules for a faction at a time. So for example the story could be that one of the Von Carstein's wakes up a bit early and goes on a summer vacation down to the border princes; then GW could release old Vampire Counts minis in a limited release for the duration of that campaign. Rinse and repeat for the other factions each year and you've got annual releases for TOW for the next dozen summers without too much legwork on their part.

Re dropper bottles, I add 10-15 drops of airbrush thinner, give it a good shake / mix, then just pour it. A bit will stay in the pot, but I just throw that away.
@wersiebenschlafer7849Күн бұрын
That's the best method. You can also use the remaining paint to create washes by adding more thinner or medium.

@Gumlass114 сағат бұрын
@@TravvyBear262 I made a mistake on the first few by adding more thinner to get more paint out. The paints still work, but separate really quickly and need frequent shaking.
