Hey fellas so in this upload we look into one of my own PERSONAL favourite drive pedals for a fender style amp. This is a revisit to the Honey BEE Amps Clean Drive.
In my Opinion This pedal works best if you have a solid base tone, that being said i ran it into a pretty cruddy solid state at a studio last week and we were all shocked at how much it lifted the tone. This pedal will bring out ALL the dynamics without robbing any from your amp, it lifts the highs beautifully and has just the right amount of mids with none of that nasally sound that can sometimes get ugly. Its VERY responsive to your touch, so if your a dynamic player it will work perfectly with you, it also cleans up at your guitar Volume pot similar to a fuzz, but doesn't seem to juice the highs when doing so.
If your looking for something extra that Adds to your tone without colouring it, lifts up all your dynamics and responds like an amp itself then look no further. Ive been straight into the amp for a long time till i got this little number back, This is the

Great sounds!! I bought Origin Revival Drive CD last month...stacked in front of Tone King imperial...WOOOOW..now its the only OD pedal I use..simply amazing (AC 30, plexi, tweed&blackface sounds on a tap) and feels great under fingers too. Yes, its expensive...but its worth it!! try one and prepare the credit card! ;)

Sounds good Xotic has some pretty good clean boosts I use their EP boost and the Super Clean Boost Lot's of EQ options on the later It uses the original TS chip as well

Paul Cowart I’ve owned the EP and can assure you, it’s not even close to the ballpark of the tones and amazing roll off the clean drive has. It’s literally the best drive I’ve ever played. I’ve owned and gigged a Klon I got from Bill Finnegan when I was 17, KOT and on and on. It’s another level of dynamic. Get one! Trust me

@@StratTones Yeah was thinking about it and the DD fuzz as well but need something that will work well with my main pedal which is a Diaz Ranger Also thinking on running some type of loop to isolate a fuzz cause the Diaz is actually a Rangemaster pedal that uses germanium and silicon Hybrid

Richie, This is a fantastic review. Hit the nail on the head! I play lower wattage amps most of the time (silverface and/or blackface champs). How do you reckon this will perform? David Kendall thanks for being here ! I really appreciate it ! Ok so if I had to sum up those 3 , I’d say the Texan twang works best imo into a driven amp ( attenuator) then roll back the guitar volume pot that’s the key to that one ! The clean drive is more of a transparent clean boost to my ears , no colouration of your base tone with not a lot of gain on tap , so if your base tone is solid and you just want everything a bit bigger from there this would probably be the way !! The blues power from memory sounds just like a THD hotplate , in terms of it drives the pre amp hard with a master volume at the pedal ! More options with the blues power but Jesse knows how to price 🙃🙃 . Hope this helps , Richie.

Very amazing. Thanks. What do you recommend for the SRV and Mayer tone? I have the Archer-, Lenny-, TS- Pedals and go into a Fender Champion but i dont get it. I think about buying this pedal or the double trouble. There are also the steel string singer supreme. I want do get SRV clean tone and the John Mayers tone from bold as love he performed at the LA Concert. What do you recommend?

Buy a nice fender tube amp like a 65 deluxe reverb or a bassman a deville or deluxe is more affordable and also give you thst nice fender clean sound. Use your pedals with it.

Ian Thomas i honestly really enjoy both pedals . I think the honey probably colours your tone less ? But the colour the blues power adds is not a bad one , that actually is up there with one of my favourite drive pedals. I think the honey pushes your base tone and really emphasises it acting almost like a boost ?? Hard to split them, both useful for different reasons ⭕️😊
