In your video demo, you clipped the dog into the crate which is expressly forbidden by the manufacturer. The collar/harness clips are only for use in the stroller mode, not in the car seat mode.

Great review!! I have researched a lot of car carriers and while this one would be limited to smaller pets I have to agree that it is outstanding from a design and safety standpoint. You should review more pet safety products :). Couple of comments: These are now lower in price and retailing for $600 to $700 on the Tavo site (carrier with base). For an additional $300 you can buy the stroller which this attaches to. Also, Tavo does not advise using the clip/inside tether when the dog is inside the car. In an accident this could cause greater injury, even snap its neck. That tether is to be used when you are carrying the dog or using the stroller so it doesn't inadvertently jump out of the carrier when you open the top. So don't use that on Frankie :)

I love this, but I’m wondering how this works with child car seats in the back? With two kids I’d be in a three in a row situation with this. It looks really wide though.

If you go to the manufacturers site you might get a better idea, or look at google reviews with photos. Plus they have the measurements available and you should be able to tell from that if either size fits in your vehicle or not.
