I have had a few pocket rockets in my time, from a 1989 Daihatsu Charade Gtti with its turbocharged 995cc / 3 cylinder engine - up to the Nissan Pulsar GTI-R. None of the cars I have ever owned have given me the same confidence in throwing the car into a corner as much as what the 309 did. The 309 really does stick to the road, better than the 205 did IMO, which only gets better when you find a good ride-height. Ride height adjustment is fairly simple too, by resetting the torsion bars at the rear (remove torx screw & remove cap - slide torsion bar out, raise trailing arm, slide torsion bar back in), so no need for new coil springs. ;)
