Gorgeous! This was my first year teaching. I bought a beautiful, personalized $80 planner to celebrate my first teaching job. Shortly after school started I tried Planbook.com and I ended up never using my paper planner. I love being about to bump lessons over to the next day, teaching elementary means being very flexible, and being able to move plans around as needed. For that reason I will stick to online planning, but I am secretly obsessed with paper planners. I just don't have a use for them.

Hear ya. I want desperately to use beautiful paper planners, but alas, I have come to accept that digital planning using OneNote works the best for me. Exactly what you mentioned about things be easier to move around, postpone, replicate, if it's digital. But I have a large collection of beautiful pens and post-its that I try to use as much as I can! :)

I was debating which planner to purchase, since the person who normally customizes my teacher planner is not doing it this year. I was torn between the Happy Planner and Erin Condren, I don't know anything else. I am so glad that I clicked on this video, I purchased the recommended planner by the time this video was completed. I am such a weird combo of paper and digital planning. I find it more efficient to plan in the Word doc template I have because there are so many things that the structure of the lesson stays the same. I don't want to rewrite that stuff every single week! But then I also need to print it out and have the hard copy in my hand. I love the idea of pretty paper planner books, and I feel just a little bit sad that it's not efficient enough to make me go that direction!

You could continue printing out but adding it to a Happy Planner, if you would have the hole punch for it. You could check that out if you really want a physical planner for you digital copies ;)

We don't have happy planners, or any other fancy types of planners in Australia, that I know of. I'm just going to content myself with letting other people people spend all the time on those frills and live vicariously. 😉

Tracy's Primary Pandemonium You can definitely get Happy Planner’s in Australia! They are not as cheap or readily available as in USA, but they can be bought. Google Happy Planner Australia 😊

How does the paper compare to that of Erin Condren? Would you be able to use a Flair or G7 pen without it going through to the back or next page?

Delphi we use very thick and smooth paper! It is HP premium32 with 32lbs and 100 brightness. I use flair pens without any bleed ♥️

Very fun planner! Question: What's the difference between a language arts teacher and say...a reading teacher or a writing or literature teacher in middle school? Some have both, which is confusing, and high schools have English teachers. Any insight here?

Language Arts is grammar and spelling and English is reading/ Literature- , it’s usually incorporated in my state description as ELAR (English Language Arts and Writing)-in lower grades the focus is on building the grammar skills while in high school the focus is on reading and comprehension.
