Im enjoying seeing just how destroyed my armour is after a fight. Its genuinely nice to see multiple areas being damaged that reflects, for example, crossing a hallway and seeing that the armour did indeed take a huge hit before damage started passing through to the pmc. Legitimately a great feeling system atm

First! I really wanted to understand this myself, thank u for bringing it to us , I used app like tarkov handbook and found out that the heaviest armor usually have better protection than lighter ones, or highest number armor have more protection

you can also find class 5-6 plates in the mayors house on lighthouse in the room below the ref key room. they are on the floor near the mattress

Great video, but I am personally still hung up on something. What percentage of effective durability (or durability) lost would be a good rule of thumb for when to toss a set of plates and start looking for replacements?

with Wipe changes, the CPC and Tactech craft no longer works, as it now requires both (2/2) armor plates, so you're basically just getting a rig out of the craft. Also the Termite barter is gone.

The material destructibility has always been a thing which is why the material it’s made out of matters when going through fights because aramid holds up through alot while things like steel and ceramic get annihilated and are good for maybe a fight. Same goes for repairing armor aramid and polymer plates are going to repair to max more effectively which is important because 100% durability means they block 100% of bullets so if you repair and armor like steel or ceramic and it goes from 100 to 60/100 max durability then it’s only 60% effective and I wouldn’t want to be using that armor unless I really didn’t have a choice.

have you seen much going on about this weird 1 shot mechanic lately, ive had mid tier class 6 plates on and died to a single shot to my thorax from a skav with 5.45 with ps ammo. it shouldnt theoretically be possible but eh. Ive also died severl times to a colateral with good armor on by being shot by like 3 7mm buck pellets alone. damage didnt even add up to zero'ing my arm and thorax together but bleh... its just been super weird. the armor felt so great right after they updated it but like the next week i almost felt like it was tweeked a good bit on the chance modifiers

It’s all about map knowledge like knowing spawns and map rotations and always checking the spots you have been shot from before. You want to catch people lacking and not give them fair fights. Always make people push you instead of pushing them.

Usually I just get shot by scavs and half the time die to a sniper because I alerted them with scavs shooting me, learning scav spawns wounldn't help much on open maps like reserve which I usually play. I know reserve quite well but I usually die when getting where I want to go, I'm not much use with buckshot on the mountain other than camping, which I don't want to do. And since people know someone will spawn there they usually tap fire and kill me with their meta gear. I started playing this game only 1-2 months ago, so I'm fighting people with the best gear, without even knowing half the things I need to know.

Been here since the start of wipe. And you can find 20rd boxes of 9x39 BP and PAB-9, they're just extremely rare, you're more likely to find a 100rd box of m995

I went to play airsoft the other day. I took a plate carrier. In the end of the day I had load of marks in torso. All around the armour plates, none im the armoured covered area. Doesnt mean I wasnt hit in the armour plate area, it means the armour saved me from being hit there. Let that sink in.... most of u think armour before update was useless because u died to torso everytime. If u get hit there u die of course, but armour saved u more times than u remember, BECAUSE it saved you.

@@TheMrPandabeast tried it with a mate, we had real issues with rubberbanding, lags and stuff even though in normal EFT connection is sweet and since you mostly rely on teammates performance to win rounds for quest, we ditched it instantly :D

Ok, to be fair the old hit box system was KINDA wack due to bullets constantly bypassing the armor straight to thorax (and armpit deaths 😂), but I feel like this new hitbox is a bit overkill. It protects TOO much to a point you win gunfights by getting a headshot by skill/luck, or ho ever has high pen can just no skill thorax u.

Its a fine change, aside from needing to reduce availabilty of Lv 6. Its still a game, and its the most fun when fights last a good while. This change means fights just last longer. 🤷‍♂️ Its about fun before brutality/realism. Good balance.

The current armor system ia terrible its take way to much ammo to kill and there is no ammo avaiable in traders that can deal with lvl 5 and 6 armor. Current system act exacly like old one stims and vi plate is meta
