My pokemon RBY and transfer packs are old and dusty. I don't know if they even save properly or transfer properly. I did beat gym leader castle and Petit cup with rentals though. Pika cup, Poke cup, and Prime cup proved to be difficult with rentals.

As someone who's currently playing Stadium rentals only (R-2 included, Pika Cup was a nightmare) I won't stand for the Rhydon slander. Fissure landed on the finals vs a Snorlax on Prime Cup, winning the cup. Buy yeah, Graveler is still the best on most scenarios. I'm also a bit stumbled at the lack of Articuno, Jynx is great and all, but I only recall using Jynx on Castle, cups is all Articuno. And even if you wanted to keep Jynx, had Articuno as best flying and then Zapdos as best electric since you were going to disrespect BEST BOY JOLTEON ANYWAYS.

Just a bit of constructive criticism: you looking away before you fade to black makes the transitions feel a bit awkward, maybe you can try looking at the camera for a few extra seconds at the end of each take, so that in editing you can fully fade to black while still looking at the camera. It might make the video feel a bit more cohesive. (or maybe not, just a suggestion!) Anyway great stuff! Would love to see a vid like this for Stadium 2 which is the one I played the most growing up :)

A quirk with Gen1 freeze... Fire type attacks don't thaw you out, It's if an attack can cause a burn will unfreeze you out of the Freeze status. This does mean you can use Fire spin ona frozen foe and it will not unfreeze the pokemon, since Fire spin doesn't cause a burn. Its like how Normal types can't be paralyzed by Body Slam since secondary effects don't apply to pokemon if it shares the same type.

@@enoyna1001 I was hinting at Gen1 and it's weirdness. The way it is coded in Gen 1 that Thawing happens if the move burns and not if the move is fire type. Also mostly because they're similar in nature, Since ALL moves that burn in Gen1 are Fire type. Meaning Fire type pokemon can't be burned in Gen1.

Doesn’t matter that much. Stadium’s RNG favors the CPU so much, you’re not getting much of an advantage by picking a Pokémon with good moves. Thunder Wave? They’ll miraculously recover or resist the paralysis the next turn
