Hello. How far does the PoCOM go with programming and adjusting functions vs the OEM PIWIS. Can it deactivate for example the rear spoiler fault code if you put a GT3 boot lid on a 997? Can it handle re-pairing the steering column lock (which have been know to fail) with the rest of the KESSY system - I have the VIN specific PIWIS codes for such tasks

Looking at the Model/Feature Matrix on the Durametric web site and assuming it is up to date, you are good up to the 997 model or 2012. The 991 that came after it, I find the Durametric Pro that I have quite useless...no Coding. Actual Values, Activations and Commands are pretty well non-existent. Durametric need to get to work as the 992 has been out for a while now. The best system for the VW group is the Ross-Tech which I had when I owned a VW. For a fraction of the price, it was far ahead of Durametric. Maybe Ross-Tech should come out with a system for Porsche.

As far as Foxwell is concerned, and for anyone considering buying its scan tools, it might first be advisable to check out if you are buying from an authorised seller!! Just spotted this company.. Google search "Bavarian Dominator - Review Centre."
