Nice video. I think a really cool feature is the line out on this amp. I'd go into a mixer and then to monitor speakers with it

What kind of cable/adapter do you need to plug a mic into that mic input? I just have the regular mic cables and a Shure SM58.
@CatPickStudiosКүн бұрын
It's basically a cable that has XLR on one end and 6,3mm plug on the other.

Thanks for this review - VERY USEFUL and right in time. I was about to buy its rival - Positive Grid Spark Mini, but did not do as it was yet to arrive at Thomann. Now I came accros your review and happy that I did not buy the Spark Mini, guessing this little beast should deliver a higher power/gain and maybe clarity? have you compared the two - would be super useful and welcomed by many youtude folks! Any clue where I should look for to buy this unit, if decided? Many thanks in advance.

Thanks! Unfortunately I have no experience with the Spark amps as they are not-that-available here in Finland. I think the NUX might have a bigger speaker, so it will probably sound a bit 'bigger', but from what I've seen about the Spark, those are loads of fun as well. Don't think you can go wrong with either and if you're shopping on Thomann, you'll have the 30 day exchange policy in case the amp isn't what you hoped for :)

@@CatPickStudios thanks for the insight. In a chat with Thomann they told they may order it for me, hence, I should send an email. Just did it and awaiting for good news :) hope will not be disapointed. - cheers and nice evening to you!

I’m late to the party here but if using this amp through usb c as an audio interface can you get the microphone input separate from the guitar input?
@CatPickStudios3 ай бұрын
Hmm I'm not sure. It would make sense for the amp to put out microphone and guitar outputs into separate channels, but I'm not sure if it did that. I did use USB recording on the amp but never tried it with a microphone. Sorry for not being more helpful with this. I went through the manual as well, but there was no mention of this in it.

LIKE & SUBSCRIBE OK I'm deciding what to buy, I have a Tammany D'angélico Acoustic guitar And I was trying to decide whether to buy an acoustic-only amp like the NUX Ac25 However, I like the technology of using IRs. So I also thought about buying a NUX Staggeman pedal and a baby cuve pedal just to add third-party IRs. But now I saw this new amplifier, which has a lot of space for third-party slots The question I want to ask you is: Did you like the guitar sound on this speaker? Second question. Have you already done a test with all the IRs that come from the factory on the guitar??? Last question ok In relation to what I wrote above, what would be the best purchase in your opinion? First option, second or third??? I only play at home doing covers or studying, but I like a clean sound with harmony and equalizer. Thanks... Nice Job!!!

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! I like how electric guitar sounds with this and it worked well with acoustic guitar as well. For jamming and practice at home I feel the size-to-sound-ratio is perfect for my needs. As I mentioned in the video, it sounded good and it felt like a 'real' amp to me. The IR's included with the amp are good, but for acoustic I might check out few more acoustic guitar IR's that are designed specifically for piezo equipped guitars. I've used some of those in the past with great results, but the ones that came with this amp didn't quite do it for me.

Can you do looper and drums at same time,
@CatPickStudios10 ай бұрын
I never tested that, but I think you can. Though I'm not sure whether the looper records drums. My guess would be that it doesn't.

What is the diffefence of this and the 20bt mk2?
@CatPickStudios2 ай бұрын
I havent's tried the 20, but based on the specs the 20bt is the 'more of everything' version: bigger chassis, bigger speaker and more preset slots. It doesn't have the mic input though.

It's always a balance between providing all the info and sound clips someone might want vs what encapsulates the most important things of a product. I have a NUX MIghty Plug Pro and Mighty Space demos that have bunch of drive tones demonstrated there. They all use the same modelling, so the tones should be compareable.
