The reason why this plane has ok reviews are because this plane was on sale before missiles were even put into the game. Before, it was a normal jet fighter always getting uptiered into 8.7, facing migs and sabres constantly. Of course you won't do well against those. Now with the addition of sidewinders, and 8.7s being dragged up to 9.7, this plane now looks like a relatively good plane.

i remember a point when the mk.100 was called one of the worst premiums in the game by some cc i cant remember. i ended up buying it on sale and could not fathom how that person reached such a conclusion. this plane rocks and i have repeatedly had people on the enemy team acknowledge the existence of a mk.100 against them in all chat with fear. either people try to avoid me or single me out. its actually quite fun. not that the mk.100 isnt somewhat balanced. a lot of its strengths come from good dogfight characteristics complementary of its british heritage and the missiles are more used to try and reel people in or catch people off guard. there are plenty of normal tech tree aircraft that the sea hawk sees regularly that can and will shit all over it within its own br spread. you certainly cant do well with no knowledge. the sea hawk performs well when its actions have some forethought. the plane is very good but its not as egregiously op as plenty of newer premiums gaijin have tossed in since. it may or may not be my most played german plane. shhhh.

i remember those days when this aircraft only cost 2.700 SL in simulation. It's airbrake uses flaps too so it gives him very cool looking when using airbrake. I used it very long time and i killed to many f4 in sim. It was my favorite and main aircraft back in days. Good times...

I got this thing in a bundle with the Leo L44 (which was what i wanted) but ended up using it more than the Leo. Its an absolute Joke that its the same br as the tech tree version which doesnt have missiles. And Gaijin have now done it again with the Hunter F.58.

This is an overall decent lil plane, well rounded, no particular downsides but excels in nothing really. Missiles are a nice bonus but forget about using them on an attentive player that is not totally stalled. You turn decently and have OK-ish cannons with enough ammo, main issue is that you will face 8.3 Sabers and Mig-15s and to put it simply, they do all the fighter stuff you do - better. Climb, turn, speed, whatever. This doesn't mean you're hopelessly outmatched, you can still score nicely in this thing.

Yes, true. Although I just like the fact that this is the cause for the Sea Hawk in particular. Since it is a premium aircraft with the same / higher SL booster than some tier 6 jets, the ability to kill a ton of ground targets as well as get a bunch of air kills makes this a phenomenal grinder.

I think maybe the matchmaker used to make this plane suffer. But with changes and additions, perhaps it’s better now. Missiles have been through a few changes as well. I bought it early and I remember it being outclassed quite a bit, and I was playing in a squad of these planes with a couple of great players (I’m a bit average myself) and we did ok-ish but found the plane a bit meh. I might take it out again, thx for the video.

I think you're overrating the plane a bit. At 8.0 you have the me163, la15, meteor 8, and md452 IIA which all out perform it. if you drop to 7.7 you have the f80 c10 which also out does it. The plane's primary gimmick is being a low br missile slinger with decent power to weight but if you want that gameplay the f9f-8 at 8.3 carries 2 more missiles and has much better power.

I don't think I'm overrating it; I'm not saying its overpowered, it’s just good. Me163, La15, Meteor, etc are all great planes. The thing is just that these aircraft match the Sea Hawk in or another, but they are not necessarily better in every regard. My main point is that the Sea Hawk is great, because it gets missiles at 8.0 and is also very competative in dogfights. If this plane did not have missiles, it would be a different story.

I felt horrible... but I sea a Seahawk and launch a red top.. it hit but he kept flying although he did crash upon landing I was astonished he survived the impact of the missile...

The most infuriating thing about this aircraft is it's BR, 8.0. I died to this thing while flying the Su-9 by both of it's AIM-9B because the pilot is trying to cope from the fact that he can't put a single round on my early jet brick on a level flight chase and all I did is wiggle a little.

I think part of why it's not very popular is because you often have to adapt to the enemy's weaknesses etc. rather than having a universal advantage you can just abuse. The Su25/A10 can just shove missiles in your face, ofc you don't "have to" die to them, but the effort/skill required by you to beat them is a lot higher than the other way around. At 7.0 the F-89 and Su-11 can just wreck your face if you're in a 262 or something, unless they're really bad. As for the Sea Hawk, it's kinda in a sweetspot for the Matchmaking, since the Su-11 (1 BR lower) is rather popular, while things below the Su-11 have been mostly given up on because of uptiers against it as well as the Ju288 spam. For higher BR planes, they've been retiered even more so, because 8.7 or 9.0 could face Su-25/A10 and getting a R-60M or AIM-9L in your F86 is kinda the point where you just close the game for a bit.

I agree that the Sea Hawk is very much in a sweet spot. In downtiers it’s one of the best jet, in uptiers it is still competitive. If this thing went to 8.3 I would never touch it again, since I cannot be asked to fight with missile slinging Mig-19s.

Yeah the SU-11 is good, if you can aim at a expert-near perfect level and get every single round on target. Otherwise you whiff rounds and run out of ammo before being able to really do anything. Since it has two vastly different guns with two vastly different velocities and trajectories, that's made much more difficult. It also locks up in a dive with throttle down so boom and zoom isn't great either. It's just like the XP-50, everyone praises that aircraft so damn much and I don't understand why. The thing is literally paper and toothpicks. I am 100% serious when I say that there is a instant death if just one of your engines gets hit at all, a single round to an engine will insta-kill you.

i keep hearing how UFO the SU-11 is... I just don't get it xD I got it just because everyone was going nuts about it and yeah it's ok.... Turns good, keeps energy, good climb rate... But it's not the best at turning, it compresses quite a bit and you cannot chase fast planes in it, it rips its wings VERY easily and then the guns... THEY ARE SO FREAKING ANNOYING TO AIM... And because you don't have many rounds, you lose opportunities to shoot down the enemy just because you cannot afford to even do burst spraying... I regret buying it and i've got it during the 50% sale :P I cannot imagine how disappointed i would be if i got it for full price... Stop saying how good it is... It's not that good unless you are a pro or something :P Don't believe me? Start paying attention to SU-11 players... Check their records... Check K/D ratio... And please no lvl 100 players with 3k hours in the game... I don't know if it used to be good and it got nerfed or something, but right now it's not a UFO... It's just a decent plane with a talisman and premium SL bonus... That's it...
