You know, it's the only frustrating thing about being in the Apple ecosystem - waiting for them to roll out new features. Take the AirPods Max, I want a pair but 4 years later they are still on the H1 chip, while even the base pods have moved to the H2, and the Max only got a USB-C upgrade. Or the Mac Pro and Studio only being M2 still, while the laptops and iPads are now on the M4 generation. Or the Studio Display and Pro Display XDR - it's dated tech. Or regular iPhones and 120hz Pro Motion displays. Sigh.

You can see the studio display and Pro Display XDR design and out of the box one cable connecting simplicity of use compared to all those bulky ugly black looking boxes from other brands with all those ports, Apple knows their game. However, as a MacBook Pro user i didn't bought it although thinking about it for months... i just can't understand why apple does not create a studio display Pro with mini LED and 120hz Pro motion to match the MacBook Pro, the studio display is basically the MacBook Air external display and the Pro Display XDR is on its own world, there is a place for Pro consumer model.

Repeat after me, tandem (stacked) OLED. These are the future. They get rid of all the traditional issues of OLED, like burn in and low brightness, because each panel has to be driven less hard. They are more energy efficient, cheaper to manufacture, and at least in the case of the iPad Pro, have basically the same color gamut as the Pro Display XDR. Incredible! That's what I am waiting on, and I wish they'd hit the market now. At CES 2025, TV manufacturers are just starting to put them in their high end TVs, and they are way brighter. Over the next several years, I expect Apple to put them in all of their mobile products and hopefully we'll get them in an updated Studio display and Pro Display as well - all at 120hz or more.

LG 6K TB5 120hz Bezels All Aluminum Display. Is better design than even Apples current display and actually superior in standard definition. But being IPS cannot hold a candle to the XDR display in HDR mode. If you don't do HDR much, it's clearly superior in standard definition mode according to the specs leaked so far and looks better is completely symmetrical with half and full circles and squares and no bezels. However the best value is Asus 6 k at $1199 and 5 k at $799 ViewSonic and Ben q will soon have more competition. The best mini led display is the upcoming Asus all metal 8k HDR display with over 4000 LEDs compared to apples 6 k and 500 LEDs. Remember apple gets it's panels from other companies like LG Samsung etc so expect Apple to update their monitors soon and then do their all metal apple design apple specific software and extra apple processing to move to the top soon. Samsung has announce 5 k 27" display panel will arrive in ,2026 which will also make 6 And 8k oled possible. This may be what Apple is eating for along with TB5 HDMI 2.2 and the newest display port.?😊
