Put your phone into extreme power saving mode and select your emulator as one of the only apps allowed and turn off the decrease cpu to 70% option. Resulted in games running faster and colder

I am not surprised shadps4 is making rapid improvements, the architecture is x86 on a PS4 so the bg hurdles are at the beginning of development, now it is mapping sys calls (still hard but not on the level of RPCS3). I would bet we will continue to see rapid improvements. If it were open sourced I think it would be even more rapid

I have a Toshiba laptop I got in 2015 that was supposed to come with 4GB RAM, but I literally just found out it has only 3GB. That laptop would melt into a puddle with RPCS3 btw lol. My desktop runs it very well, though.

It's compatible. It's just not recommended. They're recommending that people use a more powerful CPU.

Not so much that it's not compatible, just the recommended settings. I think the problem is people are running into bottlenecks trying to get older PCs to emulate consistently and getting too many complaints from people like us with ancient machines, so they dont want too many people to get their hopes up for the harder games to run.

Bro, please read the announcement carefully. They explicitly state: this change does not mean that we’re changing the emulator and making it more demanding. It’s just to better represent the requirements using newer hardware and have better compatibility. But you’re good nothing changed.
