THE BEST PS5 HEADSET? Razer Kaira Wireless Review

Just got the Kaira Pro for ps5 and have been using it for a few days now. Its a game changer with its haptic feedback, its like having a dualsense on your head but without unnecessary vibration noise or overkill uncomfortable vibration. Its very comfy too and feels light even though it had metal construction. The fact that you can do your custom EQ and RGB lighting on your smartphone is a winner. Sound quality is amazing too, a step higher than the pulse 3Ds. My only gripe is the volume ceiling is lower than the pulse 3Ds. I feel its a legit steelseries 7p competitor in the ps5 wireless headphones market.

@@brianbbgun54 i would say it sounds just about what he demonstrated for the kaira in the video. It comes with a built in mic too, and it sounds decent just like how one sounds on airpods. However, when using the detachable mic, i suggest putting the mic slightly further away from the face than one normally would to reduce the pst and pfts sounds. I do not have many headsets to do a comparison to, but i would say both the built in mic and the detachable one are way better than the talking into tin can of the pulse 3ds.

I've had the wired version of these for a few months now, and I love it. I'm thinking about getting the wireless ones, or the wireless Pro version and keep the wired ones for when they need to charge. Really the only two headsets you need for now.

Mine’s arriving in the mail tomorrow! Was deciding between this and the Arctis 9P+. Normally don’t like gaming headset sound profiles and wasn’t a huge fan of the Arctis when I tested them at Best Buy so I’m taking a gamble on these! Bought the razer kaira for PS4/ps5/pc/ mobile because of this review, here are my issues: you HAVE to have the adapter to connect to your PS4, my PS4 doesn’t support anything Bluetooth besides the controllers. Second thing the microphone is quite. I got the app to see if it would have something - nothing. It’s only for the audio. I fiddled with the buttons - didn’t help. It has a side tone wheel so you can hear your voice for me I hate hearing my voice so this tool is absolutely useless. I’ve had five people tell me that the mic was low and I sounded far away. I payed $50 for my old ones and the mic is so much better on them. I have tried using the headphones in wired mode however I’m not her for it because I’d still be using a USB port on my PlayStation and I don’t see how using USB would fix the mic. A family member said I might have a defective pair. I paid $105 I’m getting a refund for $88 because I have pay shipping and handling just to return a faulty product. If I buy another pair and they are faulty like these ones id be spending $30 on just shipping to return them. It’s a gamble that I’m not willing to take. I honestly wish these headphones mic was better, but on mine they aren’t good. I’m so upset about it. Because I adore these headphones they sit nicely theyre kinda sound blocking and they’re super comfortable. (If anyone has any information within the next for day to help I would be extremely grateful. I have 15 days to send them back.)

I just got mine one week ago, I have to say, the fps mode is really impressive for COD Warzone, you can really hear enemies footsteps clearer. The only downpart of it is that it misses the PS5 OS integration that Sony's Playstation headsets have. With Pulse, just pressing one button I can change the volume between voice chat and game, if I turn it off, automatically switchs to the HDMI port sound, Razer Kaira doesn't have such features. You have to access menus a do a lot of clicks to get something simple. I'm really thinking about getting a Pulse Elite but afraid of don't getting the same audio quality A Razer Kaira vs Pulse Elite comparative sounds really good

I think there are a lot of great headsets out there. I honestly have been watching him for years and he reviews each headset as its own product. He only draws comparisons when necessary like when he refers to the Pulse 3D headset that PlayStation makes for the PS5. But at the end of the day, you have to buy and test the product for yourself. He highly recommended the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and I really didn't like that headset. But most people love that one. So to each their own. But I think he makes great, honest content!

The attached mic is a dealbreaker for me, I rarely play multiplayer just a bit of coop here and there but I play lengthy single player sessions regularly. I really needed to be able to unplug that mic, pity.

I was expecting it to be a good headset for sure, but damn it’s much better than I expected, it’s fantastic. As I said so many time before I’ve tested and used many headsets. This Razer Kaira punches way above its price tag. The switch between wireless and bluetooth is so easy, phone app works perfect, 10 band EQ, all amazing. You were definitely right about the ‘amplifies’ mode. It literally takes the sweet spot of each EQ band and increases to the next level, wow wow wow I’m loving it already. The amplifies mode is perfect, but once you play around with the EQ a little, I can honestly say they sound as good as the SteelSeries Arctic Pro, it really does. Oh and it’s super stinking cozy 😎 I highly recommend this headset to anyone, Razer has done a great job.

They fixed the app for both ps and xbox versions. Still if you want to use it, you need to have gps on when adjusting and using the app. I love mine but I had to bend the metal band to make them comfortable like Techne. Clamping force was too tight for my big head. I love sidetone (hearing yourself is important for me) and bluetooth function because I listen to podcasts when playing and I can take phone calls whrn I am playing.

I got a pair the other day. Definitely as good as my Xbox version. The only thing i could fault is that the mic is not great on PC and there is a bug with the sidetone on PC too not working correctly.

The haptic on low makes for a great “bass” feel and doesn’t mess up the sound because it isn’t bass it’s haptic if that makes sense. They are awesome. And my friend confirmed the mic sounded perfect. They are now not only my gaming headphones but my everything headphones.

@MyLazySundae fire!!! Haptic on low great for positional gaming ect… and for bt music or movies they bump and act as the bass. Med and high haptic is more for music bumping imo low is perfect for everything. Hearing footsteps ect… works great I’m super happy with them. Took the place of my beats studio 3 for gaming and everything.

I know I’ve commented but the pros for ps5 are great with the haptic on low you get the bass without messing up the sound Up high or med (haptic) I feel are for music bumping not gaming. But on low I love it for gaming. I can feel and hear where everything is in all games!! Love the headset for both music and games it takes the place of my beats now!!! Stay safe!!! And the removable and built in mic are both great!!!

The Bass from the Crushers literally rattle your head, do the kaira pros do that?

@@sebass1372 oh ya they rattle your whole head epsicially on med or high. On low it will rattle your head but you can feel from where it’s coming from. Like upper right or lower right you can actually tell the difference. Again all the settings will rattle but I think it’s to much for gaming (medium and high) more for music bumping. I keep ‘em on low. They bump bro! I had a chopper come in game and did 360’s to see how good they are and wow I could position that vibration perfect. I can’t say enough good things. They took the place of my beats.

Music and movies on low med or high it’s just bass you can feel but amazing sound with it!!!! Try bro!!!! I had studio 3 beats. They make them sound like crap. Both mics are great the removable boom and the built in one. You can use them while charging to if you have a near by outlet or whatever.

@@talisss I own the Kaira Pros for the Xbox, so kinda new what i was getting, plus the PROS have a detachable mic, so u can use them as your daily Headsets. I did however have the Turtle Beach Recon 2 700s for the PS5 and they were nice (sold them when i ordered these), great sound but heavy and the drivers/Speakers did not sound as FULL as these Kaira Pros. I was watching the Matrix last night, and the FULL sound and that force feedback on these headset..really gave me the feeling of being at the theater.

Hey Techne, My dog chewed up my headset for my PS4. I’m looking into steel series headsets and I’m wondering which is the best steel series headset for my PS4. I mainly care about the Mic quality and how comfy it is.

@@BabysitterSky me to I love mine thinking about trying t out the hs80 today! Make sure you put your 7P’s on your head by only prying the headband it’s self apart instead of grabbing each ear up and pulling the head set apart. The hinges that each ear up is bolted onto will break very easily. Please take this advice lol!

Im a little late to the party but i have this wireless version without the lights and rumbling seen as i dont need them needlessly draining the battery. Anyway does anyone know if the razer cat ears fit these. Yes i know there a waist of money i just like them.
