I always trade setups like this. Never bought a breakout in my life. You lose too much when your wrong. Its all about tight stops and medium to big wins

Just depends on your trading style. I like breakouts because my SL is always appropriate whereas with pullbacks you have to get used to being wrong as you have no uptrend confirmation. At the end of the day it’s all about your own style and whether your technique is profitable or not.

Great to hear you found what works best for you in the market. That's the key. Breakouts work for certain environments & suit certain people and vice versa for pullbacks.

Excellent video as always richard, thank you. I really like how you went over each detail of this trade. Could you also talk in the future or perhaps more about the insider psychology or technicals of what's happening in relation to the stock pattern. For example the 21 ema is critical here but in relation to what market makers are doing why is this 21 EMA pullback more likely to succeed than another one. Meaning what psychologically or technically have the Insiders shown or are they thinking in relation to the previous price in volume action in relation to the fullback itself, which happened because of the Japanese interest rate situation I believe. I can explain this more if needed. I imagine every traitor is different, but traders like me benefit a bit from knowing what insiders are doing psychologically or technically to create correlation with the pattern. Thanks for all the amazing insights, you and your team and deepvue have absolutely transformed my Trading

Oh so sorry Richard, my bad. Just to let you know the work you are doing is so amazing and genuine, going through all your videos from the past one month, I am a stage 2 trader the boom and bust type, with flattish equity curve, working so hard daily to be consistently profitable, In India we are having this futures and options boom and 99% people are losing, so sentiments are so negative about trading, I had also lost my faith that it is possible to make consistent money in trading, but few genuine channels and market wizards restored my faith in trading, the KZbin influencers in India having more than million subscribers all of them are misguiding people but your channel cuts all the noise and comes with great genuine content, I enjoy the process of constant learning and improving, hopefully I will achieve stage 3 soon, but I am so thankful to you for being one of the biggest part in my learning journey❤

I have moved to this type of setups completely and it gives immediate feedback and good risk-reward compared to base breakouts. 21EMA is more dependable than 10EMA. But in a runaway bull market momentum leaders hardly pullback to 21EMA. So situational awareness also plays a role in selecting 10/21EMAs.

The 10 ema is great for the strongest breakouts and earnings gap type moves.

I have a question about the volume run rate in Deepvue. Does the volume run rate update in real time, ie... intraday? For example, after the first 15 minutes, or 30 minutes, etc, does the run rate indicate that the relative volume is much stronger (or weaker) than normal for that time of day for that specific stock?

Yes that's right

Many wait for break out from all time high and buy at that level , but the problem I saw in 90 % of cases that you get resistance at those levels and the price goes down from there causing you a big loss specially when the major indexes are down.
@TraderLion
@TraderLion 3 ай бұрын
Breakout buying is best when the indexes are over their 21EMAs. How large was your sample size that caught the 90% figure? Would be cool to split the data up by index trend to see if there's any edge there.

@@TraderLion Nvidia this summer went sharply down from 137.25 $ to 90 $ aligned with major indexes decline. It was on all time high level or 52 week high level. Nvidia also declined after getting to 132 $ level causing me a big loss for second time although nothing was changed in its strong fundamentals. AVGO went down from all time high level of 177 $ deeply to 127 $. Apple went from 233 $ to 213 $. The lesson is big caution should be made on all strong stocks on all time high or 52 week high levels because they can act as resistance level and big attention should be taken to major index moves at those levels.

@@TraderLion My favorite trading strategy is, first I search for stocks with strong uptrend on the monthly and weekly timeframe. I like those in stage 2 Stan Weinstein with high volume and rising price above 10 and 30 week moving averages on the weekly timeframe. Then I buy it when its price goes temporarily down for unknown reason reaching a previous key support level on the 30 minute time frame. I usually sell it intraday or next day with 2 % profit and stop trading on that day. I avoid holding long time because there is always risk of later premarket gap downs or other major market surprises.

In trading there is no 100% strategy . The objective is to enter when probability of success is higher than probability of failure and get out as soon as your trading idea is no longer valid ( and this is the hardest part to give up your convictions…) . Read more on the subject of disposition effect . Good luck 👋
