The BEST quests of Wynncraft

The Journey Further quest ending was literally the most impactful Wynncraft story writing for me. Especially with all the new updates where Aledar and Tasim are more present in the early game. You feel almost attached to them, and you have to attack Aledar multiple times making the decision each time and he just tells you it’s okay. And then if you beat the dungeon and fulfill his dying wish your only reward is a quest that ends with you killing him again. Amazing writing in my opinion.

That's a great improvement, before 2.0.3 (idk, the Update that rewamped the early game questline) noone really cared about aledar, because He appeared in one quest and the never again.

I personally found Hollow Serenity to be one of the most beautiful quests in Wynncraft, I personally don't mind huge chunks of dialogue as long as it engages me to read it and Hollow Serenity had me engaged the entire time, I love these kinds of dark stories in gaming especially ones we perceive through ghosts of the past and memories. If a quest can grip me idc the length I want to see the story through

Hollow setenity is great, but the dark Atmosphere isn't my favourite and big Chunks of complicated Dialogue is something i struggle with (I suck at english)

I mainly fell in love with Hollow Serenity because it pushed for players actually looking for lore rather than “ hey humie do this, hey humie do that, we need help stopping a war etc. etc.” and actually gave room for a player to stumble into a manor and slowly uncover the dark history without being asked by an npc to do so.

@@Amber_Rocks_3 That's a great part of this quest! This is the thing I have been saying all the time! Stop info lore dumping (like 52 lines of dialogue in RoL 4) and make use of atmospheric and environmental storytelling!

Lowley, the three quests I remember most are Death's Realm, Shattered Minds, and Cowfusion. Seeing shattered minds made me happy, but there is some COTL negligence in this video.

@@firal556 COTL is one of my favourite regions, almost all quests from the area are good or even great, but unfortunately they didn't quite make my top 10

The Breaking Point quest that unlocks TCC is such a good quest so i was a bit confused of it not appearing, even in the honorable mentions It connects so many quests you've done before so well, I was not expecting them to use not only corkus or molten heights, but also the Thanos Dragon. When they rework the quests, I hope they do them similar to how The Breaking Point does it

I do agree that the lore can feel pretty bloated, so I appreciate the efforts the developers sometimes make to tie together or revisit elements. For this reason, I found myself enjoying The Breaking Point so much on a recent playthrough, as it pays off all of the level 80-100 plotlines in a way I feel rarely ever happens outside of RoL. Also liked asking King Draani about inane small talk. All Roads to Peace was another recent favorite for similar reasons, though I didn't really care much for the preceding Orc quests for the most part. The writing and immersion is greatly improved from its predecessors, the leader does not just gloss over you killing orcs in the past, and the interactions with the orcs in the fort are quite endearing. It's definitely big on dialogue so I'd understand if it wasn't in the running for the video. I find it a little odd to reconcile the generally mute protagonist with quests like Aldorei part 2 and All Roads where there's full blown dialogue trees suggesting complete conversations with NPCs.

These newer quest are definitely very good, but around my top 25 to 15 for sure. Maybe once Fruma comes out I will discuss every single quest in the game, but that's gonna be soooo much stuff xD

I've done every quest but somehow I don't remember doing Shattered Minds at all. It gets worse because I've even opened up the wiki page for the quest before, but I just can't remember it at all. One of my favorites is Royal Trials. It ties back into Flight in Distress where the MC just casually becomes the skyraider queen after you just killed the last one. The trials themselves aren't really hard, but I just love the quest and the fact that you can get some more rewards and unique dialogue by talking to some of the skyraiders after completing the quest where they acknowledge you as their queen. There's generally not much in the way of post quest dialogue in Wynncraft aside from the NPC who started the quest to begin with, so having 4 different NPCs who all have unique dialogue after is nice to see.

@@AetTheFurry I'd say so honestly, I was more thinking that I'd personally value gameplay more, stuff like A Point of No Return (though an extremely cool quest story-immersion wise) wouldn't be in my Top 10, whereas there's a solid chance something like the Qira Hive would be due to being the boss-tower with the most unique bosses and dialoue compared to TOA or Legendary Island

Imo a thousand meters under suffers a lot from old quest syndrom where its all around kind of janky, as well as forgettable characters. Most of ghe characters have zero personality and backstory, and the gameplay is mostly unremarkable. The presentation was better in the past but its very outdated feeling, still good atmosphere though. Im not sure how honourable mentions work but I absolutely wouldnt but wynnex D higher than canary or hollow serenity, you cant make the argument of length as wynnex D is also extremely long winded. Hollow serenity has enough atmosphere and plot interest to justify its length(compared to something like rol or wynnex D), and is overall a well told story. Canary calls is able to balance both humor and horror in a single quest, doing both of these really well. The little dialogue from the miners and all the little gags at the start really set the scene and work really well as jokes, and the slow descent into the mines and eventual horror armosphere was horrifying, and the culmination into the final canary encounter works wonders. The canary itself is the perfect climax, something aburd and goofy yet strangely horrifying tragic and introspective. It talks about life and death, and longing, while saying strange absurd semi 4th wall breaking dialogue as well. Its also one of the best bosses before 2.1 with its various mechanics keepng you on your toes. The minecart section is mostly just like parkour, unfun if you lag or dont understand it but satisfying if you can handle it

The Old quest Syndrome definitely prevents 1000 Meter under to unfold its full Potential, but the concepts presented here are realky unique. I wouldn't mind a remaster of this quest, that keeps the plot and Story similar but improves its ourdated elements. As for wynnex D, I prefer irs Atmosphere compared to hollow setenity or canary calls, but I think a lot of it comes from nostalgia as well, since i've done the oder quests far more often than the newer 2.0 Ines :D
