I use a Henson AL-13+ after initially starting with a ++. Both are great razors with minimal difference in aggression. But what sets apart Henson for me was their customer service. I initially bought the ++ and after a few shaves I wanted to try the + as the ++ was a little more aggressive than I thought. I contacted Henson and asked if I could return the ++ and buy a +. After a little discussion on shaving tips and routine, the rep said for me to keep the ++ and they sent me a + free of charge. THAT is exceptional customer service, going above and beyond anything I could have imagined.

I have the medium and the aggressive v1 Henson razors along with the twig and thorn. I would put the medium Henson on par with the twig and the thorn and aggressive are similar to the blad feel. With either set, they are very good somewhat forgiving razors for daily use.

I am kind of surprised that someone asked this question, because fr 1837 knows what good razors are for daily shaving with sensitive skin. I am a daily face and head shaver and these are two of my favorite razors. You cannot go wrong with either of these, they are both fantastic. However, I do give the edge to the Henson because it is DE and a three piece razor. The twig does have mechanics that can break and you need to snap the blades in half. The twig is easier to use it tight places like under the nose. If I were you fr 1837, I'd get both because you will not be disappointed. The new enhanced edition of the AL 13 is even better.

@@jerseylife8701 The Henson AL13 was made for customers like you most definitely. It has all the benefits of a DE razor, but it almost shaves like a cartridge. It's really difficult to cut yourself with. Use the Astra Green or Blue blades with it, wow what a shave.

Limit your passes, use light pressure and look for mild blades like the King C. Gillette blades.

I just bought the Leaf Twig, and as a new wet shaver, it beats out King C. Gillette and a 1964 Gillette Slim. Granted, I need more time with Slim, but the adjustments can be overwhelming when entering this realm. The twig eliminated all the guesswork. The Astra blade is always my baseline for a new shaver (head and face), and the Twig was more efficient and left out the angle guesswork, for both face and head. Each their own, but the ergonomics of the leaf twig lent itself to a better shave, and I look forward to narrowing down the blade type.

@@averageguytested I also have a Rockwell T2. It's pretty good on the mild setting. I would say number one is slightly milder than the Henson.. it's a great razor too My two favorite razors. Looking forward to your next video

I've owned both. I retired my Twig after trying the Henson. I've nicked myself a few times with the twig, but never with the Henson. I also got tired of having to break blades for the Twig . The Henson is the best razor I've ever used and that includes the pricey Rockwell. Henson is a razor designed by a company that makes parts for satellites. They know the physics and every part of this razor is based on scientific principles. The tolerances they achieve are incredible. I'd pay a lot more than the $70 bucks they charge for this razor.

Hello Mr Media Mart I don’t know if you remember me but my old account name was fazeboi. In the past sir I commented on a video you made I think it was on the Mach 3 razor. At the time I told you I was using the Mach 3 razor with Edge Shave Gel. I am 17 years old and I recently got a Merkur 34c safety razor and a lathering brush and 200 safety blades for my Merkur 34c. The 200 blades were very cheap but they are high quality from Germany. I am from Florida and sir I just want you to know that I shaved with my Merkur razor for the first time yesterday and it was the best shave I have ever gotten. I don’t shave against the grain because I have sensitive skin. I am now using Nivea shave gel for my shave but I’m thinking about buying proraso soon. In the area I live, I was hit badly by Hurricane Ian. We have power at the house but we’ve been living in a camper because the house isn’t in perfect shape. Glad i found this channel. I am willing to make the switch from plastic Gillette to the real thing but i am a bit afraid to run it on my skin. The twig seems to me like the better way to jump in. Can i just use it like i am using the plastic ( cartridge ) or with some extra caution? Thanks!

Twig is on my list the Henson Al-s ++ gives a great shave but your angle needs to be perfect it’s too light for me I really haven’t gotten the pressure right. To little and it’s not close too much and it bites

I have both and they are fantastic. Funny but I use both at the same shave routine using the Henson on my face and using the Twig under my nose due to the fact that I have I guess what is called a Spanish mustache, thin lol . Works great

Maybe you can review the Reuzel Shave Cream? Reuzel is Dutch for "lard" 🐷 but the cream is vegan. I bought this cream a week ago and really like the experience. The best experience is when you use this cream without a brush. All the best from Belgium 🇧🇪

Oh my gosh, as someone with sensitive bright white skin, watching you shave against the grain and hearing that scrub is giving me nightmares. I often wonder if paying a barber to shave me would result in less irritation or if I need to have a product like the Henson. Just subscribed too, what a cool guy to give him one of those!
