My name is Paulo Leite, and music is a fundamental part of my life. I started buying music records when I was a kid, and never stopped.
On this episode of The Best Record Shops, I am visiting Lemezkuckó, in beautiful Budapest, Hungary. This is a decades-old record shop that's well-known among music lovers in the city. This is a big collection with many thousands of CDs and vinyl records. This shop is one beautiful mess, where anywhere you look, you will find great albums. Seriously, there is so much to see here, that I had to break the video in two parts. On this part, I will look at their CD collection.
I loved every minute I spent there... digging for gold (and I found it!).

Why am I making these videos? Because I hate to see record shops die. Streaming is NOT music. Streaming is just background noise. Buy CDs. Buy vinyl. Buy whatever physical format you like. Buy music. Buy movies. Buy books. Our culture is our biggest asset. It's not free. There is no feeling like sitting down in order to enjoy a music record by your favourite Artist, holding it on your hand, appreciating its artwork, reading liner notes, putting the record on the player, and pressing the Play button.
