I flew from Bangkok to Siem Reap, Cambodia, on an ATR Turboprop. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality and the provision of hot meals even on such a short one-hour flight. The ground crew went above and beyond, assisting me in booking, confirming, and printing my boarding pass for my connecting flight to Taipei on a different airline. Their service exceeded what most US carriers typically provide.

I will be doing the same route in the near future. Siem Reap is not far. I was looking for a bus trip so I can see the country sides of both countries. But for 12 hours trip, I changed my mind.

Excellent video from check in, boarding and flight. I am just worried about check in because of the size of BKK. Ground crew are very nice and helpful. I have flown planes smaller than ATR72 in north of Norway. For short flights and in smaller airports, smaller planes are perfect. Happy travels.

20:39 the dash 8 doesn't have running water?! I flew Luxair's Dash 8 from London City Airport to Luxembourg there and back on the Dash 8. I just thought it was poor maintenance on the airline's behalf?

Not maintenance, optional feature. Jazz doesn't have them on their Q400's but instead just has hand sanitizer. Additional tank on short routes, more weight, more fuel burn.

You would usually never have hot meals on a turboprop on any other airline
