Since I have not really explored Bluffton much, I appreciate all the various recommendations, as I am quite a foodie. It seems that most are quite casual, but it is nice to get a bit more dressed up sometimes. I know HH has some fancy places. I recall a great brunch there, accompanied by classical music. It had Plantation in its title, and it was superb! Btw, what is the closest beach to Bluffton? Is it the various beaches on HH? So, based on what you said, there wasn't much to Bluffton 10-15 years ago? Perhaps, that is why I had not explored it. I did my first heavy exploring of the Lowcountry in the mid-1990s (though had been to Charleston and Savannah as early as 1976), as I lived on the West Coast for 19 years. Thanks, John!

Jim: Yes, the closest beach is on HHI. You are correct, Bluffton really started to take off 15 years ago. Booming now!
