Hey Chris, what a great idea ! I love it !! Excellent way to run material, then take the cons home for processing. A garden rake would be helpful removing stones downstream. I've got an ideal rock to send you (for Grizzly) -- somewhere -- in one of many buckets or boxes of stuff :p ... When I eventually find it, I'll send it to you -- or better yet, deliver in person when all the craziness is over. Found it in my pan in Tuena (an old gold rush town in NSW). Would prefer to hand it over & share the story over a beer -- but will post with a letter otherwise :) Nice video btw -- great experiment! I heard the old timers would sometimes stake down a heshen bag, blanket or piece of carpet. Months later they would collect it and wash it out (or even burn it) and pan the silt from it. Apparently this was often quite successful. I think this might work well in areas that get a lot of flood gold.
