Another great video idea. What you'll find though, is that the drums do a lot. The modern day patterns but also the timbre, the sound and sonics of those drums. The vocals as well.
@kevinjones2878 Жыл бұрын
This type of content, for me is golden, I have purchased way too many vsts in the past and still don't know which sounds to pick for the ideas in my head. There are just so many... I already had all of the ones you mentioned but never came across any of the presets before (paralysis by analysis I guess). I just played around with these today and they are all AMAZING. Just the sounds I've been trying to find. These types of videos along with your chord progression ones have been wonderful for me in my journey of actually making beats instead of fighting trying to find the right sounds and progressions to match what I hear in my head. Keep them coming!
@stefanguy Жыл бұрын

@@stefanguy smooth glide for sure is one I’m going to play with. Thankfully I got 25 during the anniversary, also going to experiment with Daveland a bit more. Typically I’ll use Kontour for basses and tweak them to give me a Jahaan Sweet sound but will for sure try out Daveland as it’s a sound I’ve been looking for for awhile now. Super 8 i don’t experiment with enough it seems
@stefanguy2 жыл бұрын
Dope… yeah man a lot of people seemed to have missed out on 25. I may need to campaign for them to bring it back haha. Yeah Super 8 is nice man. It’s one that kind of went under the radar because it was a Reaktor synth at first then became its own standalone synth. Definitely a joy to use. I haven’t used Kontour in so long but I would use that a lot too. I may need to fire it up again!

One small suggestion for the "free" suggestions is maybe explore synths everyone can use for free. if one is not a Logic user all of these choices become paid. I have Logic in a studio i work in, but everyone doesn't. I am sure any of these sounds could be made in stock synths from other DAWSs but that kinda defeats scope of this video. Great channel! You really should try Arturia PIGMENTS 3 - Objectively The Best Synth of All Time period! Just 200 USD +Free Updates - It is incredibly underrated. In my opinion; that has to do with the fact that Arturia neglect Marketing for the PRESET BANK system, which anyone can make and the banks are created as a single installation file. Which is perfect. They're is already plenty of Pigments Preset Banks available both from Arturia and Others. This has the potential to eliminate the whole NI Komplete ecosystem; with the exception of the Discovery Series.
