Thank you so much for giving this game a whole review, it is criminally underrated. The devs had planned more content for Going Under, but unfortunately the game didn't make as much money as they were hoping, so they had to move on to their next project. And that really stinks, they had a whole nother dungeon they wanted to add. That being said, I am very excited to see their next project, whatever it may be

It's here I will remind everyone that unpaid internships are illegal if you're not the primary beneficiary. I worked as an intern for the company where I'm employed full-time, and there were three things going for it that made me go ahead with it: 1. It was a college credit to finish school 2. It was paid 3. They gave me a full-time job at the end of the internship If they're offering one of these things it's worthwhile. If they don't give you any of these things they won't give you anything else, either. You'd be better off as a janitor than an unpaid intern (especially if you join a union).

Ive recently started playing Goin Under and its super fun. I really appreciate that the dungeons are separate areas so I dont need to do all dungeons at once and choose which ones I wanna do. Also another great rougelike people need to play is Monolith super underrated game.

Just got Going Under on GamePass, I am having a blast! also funny thing I found is that if you can get the camera to clip through Jackie's head, instead of finding nothing, you can see her brain, and even though she's smiling on the outside, she's depressed on the inside.

I have been wanting to play hades but I’m a broke boy and can not buy a big boy computer, so I watched this and went straight to the Xbox game store and saw this game was available on console, I can’t wait to play and watching this video just has me incredibly excited, I love the videos and I can’t wait to be immersed in this rougelike. I had fun with deadcells but there was no drive as there was no real goal besides completion , but now a rougelike with a fun story and game play just again has me pumped. Loved the video man and just plz keep making content, u bring me joy 🥲💖

Going on that comparing one game to another point you made, I agree the comparing a game to another can be damning since it'll give a potentially wrong idea. Like if you were expecting oranges but end up getting lemons, you'd probably not enjoy what you've got now. Buuuut at the same time I think a minor comparison can be okay though, like if you were to hone in on a specific thing to compare. Like when I first saw Going Under, one of my first thoughts was, "Is that a rouge-lite with Dead Rising like weapon improv in a corporate setting? Pretty down." I think it's people just being lazy with descriptions for the most part. I'm just happy that Aggro Crab is getting attention since Going Under came out. Great job on the vidya!

I mean, in the social aspect, capitalism has being pretty bad compared to things like communism, so I guess that, along with the forced viewpoint of "everything that comes from marx in the devil" made it seem like capitalism is the "outdated old man everyone hates", so I personally think that a system that is economically capitalist but socially comunist (equalaty for all races and genders and things like that) and where theres a balance of power bettewn goverment and market with regulations for both of them (so that neitheir unfairlly controls anyone) would be pretty neat Idk, I just think that a capitalist system where the worker isn't exploited and has rights is the best outcome, is at least better than one where the market has all the power and capitalist do whatever they want or ine where theres no free market at all 5 minute after posting Edit: I really hope I don't start some argument where we end up screaming "X is evil" or something, just wanted to say something that has been on my mind

@@martinmelanopaz6925 Well, "maybe we can get the best of both worlds" is a seducive viewpoint, but there are some some serious contradictions here. For example "a capitalist system where the worker isn't exploited" : capitalism is a system where you can make people pay to gain temporary access to your private property, meaning that a worker has to share the profits of their labor with you if you own their means of production (or if you own their house, or if you own their debts), and that's pretty much what we mean by "exploiting people"

I'm stuck on the 4th dungeon but also I love the little outfits you unlock ever since the homeoffice update, I'm in love with that game's sense of humor and characters and gaemplay, and even tho I'm terrible at the previously mentioned 4th dungeon, i love how the song for the boss is called "Trustfall" since that's the move they keep doing and how it has thematic irony for the story.

Hey yakko, just would like to say that, based on your reccomendation, I bought going under two days ago. I saw it on sale on switch by a total coincidence, and just had to buy it considering how much i liked your review. I'm really liking it so far! The atmosfere, the dialogue, the music. the gameplay, it all fits in super well. The only downside would be how janky the characters and art look in the hub and dungeons, but the character art is SO expressive when there is someone talking, it more than makes up for it.
