Which one feels better, the ys3m or the wrm v9?

@@vietnguyeninh8076 They’re similar in terms of performance. Lots of people main the ys3m over the V9 because they find it slightly more stable and controllable. I haven’t set up my ys3m yet, and I have the ball core one but without UV coating, so those things make it feel different to the V9. I also haven’t done many solves on it so I can only go off my first impressions and what I’ve heard from others who use it. Out of the box the ys3m is very good and useable. The wrm is probably less usable for most people out of the box because it’s pretty fast and loose. Also something to note is for some reason the V9 and super weilong both have slightly rounded-off corner pieces, whereas the ys3m has more square corners, so the ys3m corner twists less easily. The magnets are stronger on the V9, and it’s auto-alignment is close to 40° out of the box (i.e. there is only about 10° of the turn where it doesn’t auto align). On the contrast, the ys3m has about 20-30° auto alignment, which is still really good and better than all my other cubes except the super weilong. Personally, I like fast cubes so naturally i prefer the V9, plus I like stronger magnets and the cool auto alignment feature. However, you can always use lube or change the tensioning to speed up or slow down the cube. You can’t go wrong with either cube so dw. They’re both immensely popular and some of the best performing cubes to ever exist. The only thing I’d say is probably go for the top spec version, and UV coating does make a bit of a difference. Usually i dislike glossy plastic and prefer matte because the texture feels nicer and it leaves less fingerprints, but for these cubes the UV coating really does make it slip out of your hand less often.

@@Fazzux the rs3m v5 is much lighter; it’s possibly the lightest cube I own. But that’s partially because I have the base version so it doesn’t have any fancy tensioning or extra magnets (besides corner to edge) which could add to the weight. My v5 was just a free add on courtesy from the cubicle because I spent a certain amount of money. If I was buying it myself I’d at least get the next version up, which costs a dollar more, since that adds the tensioning system. All i have with mine is a screw and spring, and no way to tension that spring. Out of the box, the v5 was very tight, so the corner cutting wasn’t great. But that can be fixed if you loosen it up. You can’t go wrong with either, but I think most people would prefer the v5. The main difference is the weight. The v5 is way lighter so it’ll be less fatiguing on your hands. The tensioning system is the same on both, as long as you don’t buy the cheapest version of the v5. Hope that helps. Let me know if you still have questions!

The Meilong 3M being tight I would say is great for beginners. Creates accurate turning and won’t pop or corner twist.

yeah that’s true, but if said beginner doesn’t like the tight tensions, it’s gonna be harder to adjust correctly and they might mess up the cube as they don’t really know how to adjust cubes (plus it only has a screw and spring)

@@DcubesOfficial Harder? It’s super easy to loosen the screws the exact same amount on each side… I think a screw is easier for a new cuber to understand than any other adjustment system. So that’s not a good reason to avoid it. And it’s not like they’re gonna be doing sub-10 second solves and need super precision with even tensions.

@WTF-WithTheFlow well for me, when i was a beginner, loosing the screw is scary for that exact reason of uneven tensions. if it had a tv3 adjustment system, or even moyu’s old system, its easier to adjust evenly. that’s just me, which this whole video is meant to be what my opinion is. i know people are better at setting up cubes than me, but it’s what i thought as a beginner

The RS3 v5 is exceptional for OH if you're comfortable with 55.5mm. I'd recommend trying the dual adjustment over the ball core/UV version since Moyu's UV coating seems to have some issues

Of all these cubes, I have the following, Tornado V3 (pretty good but over rated), YS3M Ball core (Amazing cube, get one), WRM V9 Ball core (Amazing cube, strong magnets) GAN 13 (great cube, but a little catchy and bit big for people with small hands) Super Weilong (Amazing cube, but needlessly expensive, not twice the goodness of the WRM V9, but twice the price. If you have the money to blow get it, if not, get the WRM V9.

I agree with lots of your list. I have the max spec WRM V9 and also super weilong, and tbh even if you ignore the ridiculous price, I still prefer the WRM V9. Unless you really can’t solve with strong magnets, then the superr weilong might be better, but honestly at that point just get the YS3M or something else. The super weilong feels basically identical to the WRM V9 except the auto alignment is slightly worse - out of the box the WRM V9 auto aligns at about 40º and the super weilong around 30º. So there’s basically no reason to get the super weilong. In terms of performance it’s the same as the V9 or arguably worse, imo. Not saying it’s a bad cube at all. If the WRM V9 didn’t exist then I’d probably main the super weilong because it still performs incredibly well. But when the WRM V9 exists for less than half the price, I don’t see why the super weilong even exists.

i haven’t tried the ball core but the cube i use is the gan 251 air. i don’t really know much about 2x2 tho, and most 2x2’s are pretty good, so both could be good for you

thank you! of these two, i recommend the v5 if you are going for 2 hand performance. if you want 1 hand performance, the guhong is better imo. but if you got a larger version of the guhong, it would be better for 2 handed solving

Hey dcubes, I have a problem and require your favour, initially I thought of buying tornado v3 but many say its stem breaks and then went for daya guhong pro m and the same issue existed and then moyu released weilong wrm v10 and thought of going for it and even it had the same problem as these 3 premium cubes have plastic stem structure so it is getting break easily so thats the reason i thought of going for rs3m v5 as it has a metal stem structure, and what is your thought on it?

well my thoughts are that xman fifed their cores with new cores on newer batches, so they should be alright. i haven’t had any issues with the dayan pro breaking. i have seen 1 or 2 videos where the v10 breaks but i haven’t seen that many complaints about it, so i don’t think it should be the worst. the v5 also has no breaking problems so that should be fine

@@Artic-fc well it depends. i haven’t tried the v10 yet but ive heard it’s great, the tv3 is good but the tv4 might be coming soon, the guhong is good but i have the smallest version and don’t like the size of it so i don’t enjoy solving on it, and the rs3m v5 is my least favorite out of the bunch. i know people love that cube but i personally think its feel is super cheap feeling and i dont enjoy solving on it. if you want to flex that you have the newest moyu cube (and it maybe is good) get the v10, if you want to get a really solid cube that is still good, get the tv3, and if you want a really nice feeling cube, get the guhong

i think the v10 is better cause i just switched from the v3 to the v10 and it’s incredible. the magnets are weaker than the v3 (especially since they are adjustable on the v3) but overall, i enjoy the turning feel of the v10. it feels lighter and softer than the v3

i would say to invite the tv3 standard as it’s not worth it, and get the v5 if you want the newest features and a great budget cube, or a mid range cube with a more blocky turning style that is very reliable. i would say go for the rs3m v5 as it fits more people better, but the ys3m is an incredibly underrated cube

well it depends. the v9 is a more premium v5 but it’s twice the price, so if you have the budget, you should get it but don’t think that the v5 is bad. as for the guhong, it’s a very good cube but very different than a moyu cube. if you don’t like the moyu feel, get the guhong cause it is very different and very enjoyable

i think the v9 is the best for me as it is super fast, flexible, and has a really enjoyable turning feel. the rs3m v5 is close behind but it’s slightly worse due to the plastic feeling slightly cheaper. the v3 is a great cube but it never performed the best for me and the ys3m is an amazing cube but it’s very blocky which might make people not like it as much

1. i have not tried the 356 maglev or the duo, but i have tried the pro, so i would say the pro. 2. i think the ys3m is better for me as its feel is better than the tv3 but i think most people would prefer the tv3 3. i think (based on what i’ve heard) the base version of the rs3m v5 and the maxed out version could definitely compete with these puzzles. i’ve only tired the most expensive one but i bet the standard is just as great 4. i don’t think the 11 is good anymore (but that’s cause i feel gan cubes aren’t that great) so i would recommend purchasing the other cubes i talked about. it depends on what you want, for example the wrm v9 is more flexible, faster, and a lot more willing to corner cut. The tv3 is a more stable, crunchy cube with some flexibility, but not as much as the v9. and it also depends on what features you want. if you want repelling edge magnets, the v9 is better, if you want an amazing adjustment system with amazing adjustable magnets, the tornado is perfect. overall, it’s down to personal preference but i can tell you that they’re both great as i have mained both before

depends cause they’re different, ones fast crunchy and smooth, the other is fast clacky and flexible and they are both good in their own way. i am using the tv3 at the current moment and im pretty happy with it as i got tired of the “Moyu feel” if ykwim and the tv3 was a great cube to switch back to that instead like the moyu cubes. But it also depends on your budget as the tv3 (only get flagship or pioneer) is more expensive than the ball core v5. but up to you

ok, i can help you decide. so the guhong feels like the pieces are more stuck together and it has a really plush feeling. the v5 is an rs3m 2020 but with the flexibility of the v9 and its feeling is slightly cheaper than the feeling of the ys3m. the ys3m is a super blocky cube that if you don’t enjoy a flexible feeling, that’s the best one. hope this help, let me know if you need anymore clearing up

i think that the guhong pro m might be the best without setup. it comes really nice out of the box, it’s very plush and enjoyable to turn. but i would recommend either learning how to setup cubes are get a pre setup cube, but some cubes require setup. if you need more help, i might be able to make a tutorial

wdum if the shipping arrives? is there any reason it wouldn’t? thecubicle and many other places ship worldwide. as for at what price do they not get any better, it depends on the person, but if you are more of a Moyu fan, they would get less and less better around the wrm v9. if you like gan cubes, maybe the 12 is your favorite or maybe you like the 14 or maybe you like the bolder ones. it really depends on your tastes, i wouldn’t say there’s a point where cubes don’t get better as they do but they just get less worth it as the upgrades are sometimes minimal

@@DcubesOfficial I understand the logic, just found it interesting How the 13 and 14 had a LOT of negative reviews, and even the 12 did for the first batch… but have you ever heard a bad review on the 11? Probably not, at least not about quality control. It’s still in my top 3 for most enjoyable cubes to solve, up there with the WRM V9 and the CH Tornado V2. I also nodded it to be the black internal version but put the IV coated shells from another 11 onto it. UV black internal Gan 11 M Pro! It’s amaze-balls 😎

@WTF-WithTheFlow yeah that’s so true, i haven’t heard any negative reviews on the gan 11. i did have my own thoughts on the cube (twice) cause i bought a black internal one and didnt like it, and then i tried a white internal plastic one and it was amazing. but sadly, i didnt conserve the cube for long so i forgot how it felt exactly. (also i love the tv2 too, but i dont have one anymore 😭) Maybe ill pick one up again and add it to next years review 🤷‍♂️

i think it’s a hard choice. the gan 11 is more expensive and has a completely different feel. it’s light, fast, and airy. the ys3m is stable, blocky, and fast. so it’s up to you which cube you want to buy but if you want something reliable, the ys3m would be my choice

I disagree, RS3M2020 is much better than RS3M Super, most cubers at a higher level share my opinion

I prefer the super bc its magnets feel stronger and the blockiness helps with stability. Both cubes are great, just go for which one works better for you i guess.

I feel like the super is better because I lock up so much on the rs3m unless I turn super slowly and softly.
