Chad, you're missing 2 very important items on the T0 check list. They should be the last two. 1. Daisy is on board in her truck seat. 2. Tara is on board in her truck seat. 😊

My wife and I have traveled all our lives and as a couple for 41 years. We each have our own duties that we do. Her inside and me outside. Our kids give us a hard time about our packing list but we don’t have the prep list. It’s very important to do all of the things that y’all do. Please keep up with the great videos of your travels! We use Anylist for our RV checklist. It is platform independent. We also use it for our Meal planning, Recipes and grocery shopping. We like it because we can add pictures to our some of our travel lists with our License plate, Insurance Card etc.

Came here to say this! Anylist is very flexible and it syncs on all your devices. When grocery shopping, my wife and I can be in different parts of the store and the things we each check off are checked off on the other's list in real time. I am planning to set up my checklists in Anylist once I get them fully developed.
@davidtorrance5814

Anylist can be adapted very easily to an RV application. You can create packing list items for everyone, including pets. We have an RV set-up and breakdown checklist as well as before you leave list for locking up the house. Instead of different stores-you can create different areas-RV basement, seasonal RV items, etc. The sky is the limit.

For checklists anyone with a Chevy or GMC the trailering package has a checklist in the dash. Won't help for t24 and t12 type lists but definitely as an overall list before leaving. We've gone back into our RV to correct an item we forgot after spotting on the GMC trailer checklist.

Great system with your checklist. But I have been driving 18 wheelers for 30 years. So i've been doing pre in post trip checks four and five times a day. When I use my r v. I just add the steps in my head. They've been burned in over 30 years, LOL.

The only thing I would change is to check your leaf springs and your tires after you get to each RVPark not right before you leave.. I found 2 of my leaf springs flattened. It gave me time to replace them without having to extend my stay. That's the way I do it anyway.

I have 5 checklists, 1. Day before, 2. Day of travel, 3. Setting up at campsite, 4. Leaving campsite, 5. Back home. On a long trip, I’ll just use the “setting up” and “leaving” lists. I go over them every single time.

Alli and I have been following you guys since before we bought our rig and we spent a lot of time building our own checklists for the 376THS that we never bought, then updating them for the Newmar Ventana that 0:02 bought instead. I can’t emphasize how important and valuable these learnings have been to us, so thank you so much for putting them together and re-doing them now. Three big things we have learned: 1) Go back and walk through the checklists together so you’re sure you did each item. 2) The checklists need to be updated regularly. Every quarter we have a checklist update maintenance item. 3) We have 2 T24 checklists for departure and 2 arrival checklists. 1 each is for regular travel between RV destinations. 1 each is for departure and arrival at home where the rig has been/will be parked for a while. We have found the latter two are sufficiently different and we need them.

Great video and great content. Checklist keeps you from getting into trouble. Obviously, the more you travel the easier to have a routine, occasional travelers MUST use checklist. Much better to do a checklist a 1000 times and not need it, than to not use it once, and really wish you had. All sound and sage wisdom. Thanks guys for all you do to help and inform folks. God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels.

Hi Chad, Apple’s reminders is something you may want to check out as an alternative to the Notes setup. Reminders will handle the checklist similarly to your Notes setup. One big advantage Reminders has over Notes is it’s ability to save your checklist as a template. This way you use the template to create a new checklist and you don’t have to go back and clear the old list.

Years ago, I took your original checklists, modified them for our personalized routines, and made them into interactive PDFs. I use the checkbox feature to actively check off the line items as they get done. Then I added a button at the bottom to clear all of the checkboxes when we are finished. I keep the checklist PDFs in my Dropbox, which is accessible from anywhere… phone, iPad, etc.. They have been incredibly helpful. As referenced in your original video, even if we don’t use them every time, or even if we don’t check off every item as we go, they are always there to refer to. And in my opinion, the very exercise of creating our our versions of the checklists, ratifying each step in our process, and carefully documenting the entire routine, is quite beneficial in itself. So, thank you for that. And thank you for all that you do. Changing Lanes is the only RV KZbin channel I watch with any regularity.

Thanks for the great videos! I saw on another video with one of the tank cleaner guys that they didn't recommend using the dissolving treatments to avoid 'sludge' building up, especially on the sidewalls of the tank. Something about our black tanks being holding tanks and not septic tanks. You don't seem to be having any issues, tho. I'd love to hear your thoughts, if you care to share.

Cold tire pressure just means it hasn't been driven recently. It doesn't mean you get up early in the morning and check them. Sunshine will make a couple degrees difference but it's not that critical that you have to check them before the sun comes up. Tires have some margin of error factored in.
