Bonelli Bluffs is my go-to campground when going from home on the Central Coast (San Luis Obispo area) to the desert. I love the trails surrounding the park. A wonderful surprise to see your video of my favorite park!

California has such a varied landscape! Those cactus are amazing. Its still pretty cold in Nanaimo, BC so really looking forward to warmer weather... 25C sounds perfect. Looking forward to your next video! Safe travels!!

Cali does seem to have quite the variety of landscapes depending where you want to be. So fun how so many States are like that and how much variety the USA offers. By the time we're back in Canada at least it will be warm there too. Too bad we don't have somewhere warmer in BC to go over winter hey haha. Hope Nanaimo warms up soon for you guys!😁🍁

Catching up on your videos. I have to agree with Alysha: that heat was INSANE! I grew up on the ocean side of Los Ángeles and almost every was shirt sleeve weather! At least in my memory. I hope that heat wave is over for you in the future. And you get some spots with shade trees. Happy Camping!!
@LukeandAlysha2 жыл бұрын
Hey Cheri! Things have been much more reasonable for us lately, even a little cooler in the evenings which is a welcome switch up. Still loved our time out in the LA area even if the heat did try and slow us down a bit. Now to get heading inland exploring the cool desert areas. Been so fun getting to enjoy being in so many new areas. Hope you have a great week!😁🍁

I had never heard of this campground (but we try to stay way on the outskirts of the greater LA area). We did do a night at Mojave Narrows years ago (will go look for your video) and a few nights at Corvina Beach at The Salton Sea. Both spots had the most amazing sunrises!

I don’t know if it’s possible but I’ve seen they have a pizza oven attachment for the blackstone 22 only available from us Walmart online. Might be able to get it while your in the states

Hey Luke and Alysha and Chloe... nice video on Disneyland....We used to take our kids to Disneyworld in Orlando, Fla cause we lived on the East Coast back then.... You Canadians are used to cooler weather so the heat bothers you guys!!!Joshua Tree will be hotter, as well as Arizona, and Utah if you go to the Big Five N.P'S...You will like the higher altitudes though...Safe travels guys....we will be commenting lots along your trip....From Hank and Pam of South Texas...

Hey guys, been nice seeing you again! Was definitely a little hot at times during that heat spurt there but it's been going great. Even cooling down quite a but at night still surprisingly. Looking forward to seeing and sharing some cool desert stuff and indeed eventually the Utah 5 as well. Take care!🙂🍁

It is almost impossible to keep an RV cool when there is no shade. The heat just cooks you! Hope you find some cooler weather. We usually travel to higher elevations in the summer.
@LukeandAlysha2 жыл бұрын
Yeah exactly right. That or you need a big rig with multiple ACs haha. Was the same thing with our Class C in high temps and full sun. Was impressed by how hot Cali could get that early in the year still though haha. Thinking as we eventually start seeing the Utah 5 it could still even be colder though due to elevation yup. Guess time will tell!😄🍁

Might want to check the A/C our A/C in 98* weather in Florida keeps it at about 70-73* Occasionally it might freeze up if running on high for extended periods. This doesnt always mean low freon or broken unit.

Glad you enjoyed if, thanks for tuning in! Tried looking up the Beastie boys hat style too haha but couldn't quite figure out if it was tipped up too high, or if it was the sideways part at the end with Chloe for the reference! Guess I just do it different 😂 cheers!🍁

We booked our original spot back in January actually to get the good spot, but also managed to get the 2nd site the day before checking out. We noticed over the few days from cancelations ones would come available, almost got a cliff side one but by the time we decided we wanted to stay longer it was gone haha. Cheers!🙂🍁

The Bluffs looks like a beautiful place to stay! I'm curious about the camel bag you mentioned. I have the same Osprey pack for my little girl. Is the camel back an Osprey accessory or a separate company you connected? My spouse and I both use camel packs for our hiking but didn't get anything with our child carrier. Thanks and excited to see the next installment! Cheers!
@LukeandAlysha2 жыл бұрын
The Bluffs was such a nice surprise in the middle of the city. Pricier than a State Park but actually not much different than any KOAs or other private parks seem to be a lot of the time. Then given your right in the LA area too and what hotels etc would cost we really dont feel so bad about it anymore. As for the backpack we actually just bought a simple 2 liter knock off on Amazon that fits and clips in nicely. Thanks for watching 🙂 🍁

We saw that video recently too actually! We looked recently for fun but it was just due to the high outdoor temperature and full sun. Hard to keep an AC cool against those elements unless you have multiple ACs unfortunately!🍁
